| I don't feel comfortable saying. You just need to be patient, keep your eyes open, and make friendships here. That is how you find new models on forum when you can't find them at retail. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Ok I finally did a session today! New phone new camera so I wanted to try it out. First is the VW giraffe calf. I am not really mobile right now so my lawn is getting iver grown... I hired this giraffe to mow it for me. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]My original I bought many years ago at Hogle zoo and loved it as it was running gracefully and not just standing there... but through childrens play the tail swish broke off (a common problem with this figure). I recently got an unbroken "replacement" but have to keep my old friend as a pair so... they narrowly escaped from the lions, and a poor hungry lion somewhere has a new wig. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And as a side story, my dads lab was hassling me to play fetch (as she is a fetching fool) and bumped my injured leg. I was trying to scoot away and luckily Buck stepped in and taunted/played/lured her away so I could get up. Once she was put away he insisted on following me around and sneaking small kisses on my hands while I was trying to take photos. This handsome boy was my savior once again. | Love this model! I have it from childhood as well, and it was a very special gift! Love that you got your childhood friend a playmate. It's always nice to have both the one with history and the one with all its pieces. What a handsome and good boy Buck is! Is he a basenji? |

| Thank Kelly and Jill! Jill, he is a little known breed called the Decker Rat Terrier. Pretty rare as they have not been "discovered/recognized" by the AKC. Not much is known about the breed development (what stock was used) but Basenji is rumored. He is one of my favorite topics to discuss, but here is a patched together one taken from the last time I ranted and raved about him on my new additions thread. | Beautiful sunny photos of a beautiful Giraffe- and your beautiful boy Buck! What a lovely story, he must be so intelligent to pick up these things- I always think that dogs know more than we think they do! He must be so clever- Pebble once did this, when an overexcited Vizsla was jumping up all over my brother when he was much younger, she played with and lured the dog away! And he's a very handsome boy too- such a glossy coat! |

It's funny to read what guesses there are about the breeds that developed this one because I was looking at him and going between - basenji? Rat terrier? Bully? Some combo of all three? And lo and behold! He's beautiful, in any case, and so is your other little friend. What handsome gentlemen. :) |

| Who is that dog to you, yours ? It's funny because he reminds me a giant and muscular version of mine with his big sharp ears and long muzzle, I'm sure they would make a great pair as main characters of a cartoon _________________ Schleich 370 CollectA 76 Papo 61 Safari 24 Yujin 15 Southlands 12 Mojo 14 Maia&Borges 5 Bullyland 1 Recur 1 Homemade 3 Bootleg 1 Total 582

| Thank you Bonnie, Jill, Ben, and Andreas! Rtas, yes that dog is mine. He and your handsome chihuahua would make a great pair! _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Thanks everyone so much. :) I really love this model. Farmlife doesn't have too many fans here but it is probably what first hooked me as a young child. Both sides of my family were local farmers in the region and grew crops and livestock and I have always just enjoyed learning and seeing domestic animals around me as much as exotic/wild species. The common holstein is a staple in many ways, but for me they were largely the breed I grew up with on my grandfather's farm for years. I have fond memories of a few specific ladies, including a cow we called Crooked Neck because she had been stepped on by her mother as a newborn calf and it had healed slightly wrong. She was a very smart and sweet animal. I still adore the oldest Schleich holsteins best from my childhood, but this is truly a very nice model of the breed. | Thank you everyone!
Caracal, no more snow! I prefer to do photoshoots with multiple figures all at once (especially if I leave my house to do it) and I finally cycled through all my snowy photos... took so long because I was leaving big gaps between uploads. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs.
