It reminds me when someone found the Safari platypus being sold online as a Wild Safari North American Wildlife model and Carolynn commented she used to see huge flocks of platypuses flying across the skys of California. Laughing

I miss Carolynn too, it has been so long! That sounds just like her to say that but I can confirm this myth... this platypus got lost on his annual migration and landed in Idaho where I caught him in the wild. Wink

As you can see above he has a terrible sense of direction!

Papo alligator (many of the pictures from the platypus on have been supplemented with a mini shoot in my yard. And some extras here as several turned out so well.)

this is the alligator I have in my collection; it replaced the 1997 sculpt by Safari. Amazing, it took over 20 years to get a better alligator!

I would have gotten a Safari Kermode bear if they had made an original sculpt. My 'black' bear is this same sculpt and I wouldn't want the two to be the same. I suppose I could get a new sculpt of the black form but this one is my favorite Very Happy

Thanks Blaine. It is my favorite black bear sculpt too, they really captured the typical shape and proportions etc. of the American black bear. Many companies don't quite accomplish it...
