Finally! I could get my hands on the new puzzlemals, took a while to see them in person. Most of the time they where not instock here in the Netherlands. I was looking to get a complete donkey, spoileralert: I manage to get the job done! After a few attempts with the flashlight from my phone, I guessed I should have a complete donkey and lamb. Here are my boxnumbers: 10155579 (GM21C1) --> Front: Donkey --- Rear: Lamb 10155574 (GM21C1) --> Front Lamb --- Rear: Donkey I hope this info was usefull and helpfull. If we figure more out more ID-codes, it will save people some time, money and frustration of doubles or triplets. Below some pictures of what I got today: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| WOW !!! That was lucky / clever Lucky because it is probably rare to get two complete animals in the sets in one shop, and clever because you used the light in your telephone I will update the list. Probably not today, but soon Thankyou for the info, I hope more wil join you, and just to be clingy : I need the tail of a dog, and the tail of a fox. - Or at least a picture of a dog with tail for TAW And I have one extra donkey and lion front. |

| I knew I'd go bankrupt if I chose to buy these as is to get a complete cat and fox so I cut to the chase and just ended up buying both sets (already complete) from a seller in Germany last year. It was a little pricey doing so but saved me from a ton of frustration! |

What a great idea Fallon, is it possible that you will take a picture for TAW of the dog . When you have time ? Please I feel so sorry for THIS ONE |

I think that's always the best tactic when companies issue these 'keep spending money til you have everything' sets - buy the one(s) you most need for your collection outright, from someone selling opened packets or complete sets, then you dodge the marketing trick and feel like you spent what you could afford, rather than being pushed into endless duplicates and unwanted extras. I feel the same way about blind bag packaging, if there's any way round playing that game I will take it, even if it costs a few pounds more to buy opened bags indirectly. I only go along with the random purchases later, once I've got myself a complete set, and that's only because I do repaints for that brand, so it doesn't matter what's in the later bags once I have one of each to keep. That wouldn't work so well with Puzzlemals cos you'd have to end up with matching-pair duplicates if you wanted to customise the animals! |

| That's the harder part! Afraid I've no helpful link toward Puzzlemal purchasing - I've been lucky with my Breyer hunting cos the stockists tend to have been collectors first then gone into business, so they know what people want and what's helpful. So there's a couple of UK stockists who list individual opened bags, and I've seen various people doing the same with them on US Ebay (although I don't buy from there, I use it as a chance to see 'real' photos of upcoming models ages before they'll be in stock over here). But I think most Schleich sellers worldwide are toyshop owners/managers rather than hobbyist collectors themselves, and cos they're not coming from within the adult collecting world, they don't realise there's a demand for that! Most of them probably assume we're buying for children, not for our shelves or cabinets |
