2023 Safari Wildlife Wonders Elk Walkaround With Comparisons

I don't typically collect figures from the Wildlife Wonders line simply because they are too large to display, but I've been caving in lately and they're such nice models!

Safari's new 2023 elk is no exception.

The paintwork is really great on this model and the antlers are beautiful. I always worry with antlers but Safari packed it well so they didn't bend in transit! I definitely want to get more figures from this line in the future. I'm thinking maybe the moose, bison, or white-tailed deer next

He reminds me of the elk from my favorite Fantasia segment the Firebird Suite

What about a line in new safari elk body?
I saw an obvious line of separation in figurines body!

Apparently Safari does not provide a scale for this figure. I really would love to know. It looks great although I think there are better deer in this series. Don't you have the old Safari elk?

Unfortunately many of Safari's WW figures have seams. They are hollow on the inside also

I actually don't have the old Safari elk.. Although I'm more than happy with their current one.

I'm not sure about the scale, but the elk measures 18 cm long, 13 cm tall (to head not antlers)

Shoulder height is 11.5 cm approx

I think Doug Watson said the scale is around 1:12, iirc

Indeed, it would not exceed 1/13 for a very big bull.
