| Well, that should not be a secret, as it was open on e-bay... I don't know about the Schleich WWF panda, i wasn't there at that particular moment, but think in the regions between 300-600 euro for that. The beagle was sold for around 550 euro's... I think we all know what the expensive Schleich items are: The WWF Series, the old dark beagle, the old version of the pinto and the artist horses... By the way, the most i paid for one item was for the Britains Zoo-Display, it was 125 euro, about 4 years ago... It was boxed by the way... And one of the zoo-enclosures, mint and boxed was not cheap either... _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman

| WOW! Willy those zoos are just marvellous I understand they are expensive, - somebody has looked after them for so many years, They are so fragile and rare and beautyful. Just lovely About the panda and dog, - We can`t have that people think I am that crazy I payed 200 for the panda and 350 for the dog. Ok, that is A LOT ! But not that a-lot A year ago I got some of the Artist`s horses in box, then the price was 50 - 70 Euros . Was I lucky or was I lucky ? Funny how prices change, - the prices in Gascher`s are 2 - 3 years old, - 30 Euros for the beagle |

I was also happy if i found the lyrebird for 60€ and 12,50 shipping (from austria). I know it a lot of money, and i havent it. But i see prices over 400€ and more than 150 € at ebay. And i see, i am not alone. |

| I'd be afraid to have them in my collection if they were worth that much - those two grooming each other are really sweet! _________________ Harriet My *Collection* My *Handmade Animal Sculpture*

| Christophe, I think those figurines are only for purchase by those who have inherited a lot of money, or stolen a lot of money... |

Despite the break in the tree trunk, it is in fantastic condition. I'm not surprised that someone paid 1000 euros for it. I've seen people pay a lot more for vintage Britains and Lineols than that, and if the piece means that much to them and they can afford the payment, why not? A stroll through Richard Lewis's Toybox website should be enough to convince anyone that there are plenty of really old magnificent figurines that are worth $$$$$... If and when some of the rarest Schleich figurines go on auction, such as the 15002-6, 14075/14076, Elasmo and Parasaur pluschies, etc., why wouldn't they auction for 500-1000 euros apiece? Other than Susanne's 15006, I've never seen any of them for sale or auction, but I've only been active for about three years plus as a Schleich collector. Collectors can grumble all they want, but the market for rare Schleich has been going up and up for some time now, and this trend is not going to stop here. |

This is exactly my situtaion as well, Harriet! So, the most expensive item I bought is Schleich Acacia. (Although, half the price of acacia was part of my birthday present ) _________________ Owners of miniature zoos on shelves, unite! My collector's blog
