I think they choose the standing pose for this giant short faced bear to make him yet more impressive but that gives an anthropomorfic looking to him. It is a pity and I am not sure to order him.

This chamois in winter coat is the better one on the market I think! Very Happy

80026 Giant short-faced bear (Arctodus simus)

(Ark-toe-dus sym-mus) - An enormous prehistoric bear and one of the largest terrestrial carnivorous mammals known to science. Arctodus simus fossils have been found throughout North America.
The CollectA model represents a male, when rearing up onto its hind legs it would have stood around 3.4 metres tall.  It had a short, deep snout compared to most living bears.  This feature was the inspiration behind their common name - short-faced bears.
The closest living relative is the South American Spectacled bear.
This bear (like most bears) probably ate both plants and animals and likely scavenged the kills made by other predators.  It became extinct around 12,800 years ago.

80045 Chamois

The Chamois is a small, agile, goat-antelope species native to the mountains of Europe and parts of the Middle East.
It is well-adapted to rugged, alpine environments and is known for its incredible climbing abilities, allowing it to navigate steep, rocky terrain with ease.
Chamois are found in mountainous regions, typically between 800 and 3,000 meters (2,600 to 9,800 feet) in elevation.
They prefer rocky slopes, alpine meadows, and coniferous forests. In the summer, they ascend to higher elevations to graze, and during winter, they move to lower elevations to avoid deep snow.

80035 Lipizzaner Mare - Spanish walk

The CollectA  horse line receives another addition: a Lipizzaner. We have depicted this model in the Spanish Walk.
This movement is characterized by a high, expressive, and bouncy gait. CollectA has very accurately implemented how the Lipizzaner raises its forelegs and caught the moves in a flowing, rhythmic tempo.

80027 Warmblood Stallion - Black Tobiano

Our Warmblood Stallion is a very popular model so we also gave him a companion in Black Tobiano, a very eye-catching colour.
The "black tobiano" colour pattern is relatively rare among warmblood horses. Warmbloods are usually known for solid colours like bay, chestnut, grey, and black. The tobiano coat pattern is characterized by large, white patches typically crossing the back.

In recent years, breeders have introduced more diversity in coat colours through selective breeding.

84279 Tournament Rider with Wide Brim Equestrian Helmet

Last year, the set of riders and accessories was a big success. Thus, we are enlarging the line by adding a very classic Male Tournament Rider with Equestrian Helmet.
The joints are fully articulated in hip, legs and knees and the outfit is classic in black and white.

80040 Dalmatian

And lastly, the CollectA Dalmatian was in need of a make-over. In the new pose one can clearly see the dog’s body tension. He seems to be eagerly waiting for a treat from his master.

The new CollectA 2025 horse is just a repaint!

They often do this- their horse range is full of paint variations for certain breeds/sculpts.

The giant short-faced bear is an interesting species, but CollectA's interpretation doesn't suit me at the moment - it looks unnatural and too static to me.
On the other hand, I really like the chamois, perhaps even more than my Papo.

I'm on the other side. I know people would love many unusual species like in the past but I've been glad with what CollectA is showing so far.
This chamois is very beautiful and completely different from all the other chamois figures we know. It's also a new species to the range.
They also replaced again a popular dog breed and again it is clearly better than the previous version with a very lifelike expression, not one more 101 Dalmatians design.
Even the new horse colors get my appreciation, they're quite rich patterns and often much better painted than the previous version.
I wonder which iconic wildlife species will they update this timethe Cape buffalo? bounce bounce

I like some of the new animals so far! The chamois is very nice although I am not much into wildlife collecting. The horses are pretty, I like the new color on the warmblood and the grey mare is pretty. I don't think she represents a typical lipizzan horse, more an Andalusian with this abundant long mane and tail. We will see how they will look in hand. Very Happy
The Dalmatian is great too!

For the time being, I'm still not satisfied with the chamois Cool , which is very pleasant, and it's understandable that a brand should have gaps in its catalogue compared to other brands!
But collectors, we're waiting for new models.
Personally, I would have been more excited about the bear .. drunken . for an Andean bear, after long years without CollectA bears. study scratch

I agree with you. I even have a sort of feeling that this model was originally an Iberian breed. It's not easy to see but the head profile looks to have a dished profile which fits better an Andalusian and the Spanish walk with the mane acting like this looks a lot like it was an Iberian horse sculpt but they decided to use it for a Lipi. It can even be used as a Lusitano, I guess.

The Chamois is really great looking. The Short faced bear is a different choice but not sure about the pose, would have been better as either a walking or running model.

The chamois has sparked my interest.
Too bad I bought the Papo a few months ago, but I couldn't predict Collecta would release its own version in 2025.
The Papo model is very nice, but too big in comparison with my other Alpine animals (Eurasian lynx, mouflon and ibex) when I put it on display on my bookcase.

A decent batch for sure.

The short faced bear is another one of those scary/unusual prehistoric creatures that CollectA loves to release. Though unfortunately most of them are from the deluxe scale and not accessible to me (I didn't check if that's also the case with this model).

The Dalmatian is an improvement over the last one for sure but I doubt that I will get this model. Papo's male speaks slightly more to me. While I appreciate that they are remaking their older dogs I would also love to see a new breed as well. With so many models that are left from their old range it would take them ages if they just redo one per year.

I quite like the new coat of the Warmblood stallion. Piebald horses are some of my favourite Tobianos and I wonder how his pattern continues on the other side. Hopefully they will show that in the near future.

The Lipizzaner mare looks nice but I can agree with the others - she does give me an Iberic vibe too. Though as both Iberic horses and Lipizzaners belong to the barock type of Warmbloods that is not that far of as if she would look like a drafter. She is neat overall but as of now she doesn't catch me that much.

I was not a fan of their rider line and I still don't like it but that male rider looks rather nice and it's the thing that Schleich really lacks. I might get him for my rider lineup.

The Chamois looks really nice but it's again a male. I really don't understand why CollectA just keeps producing nearly only males even with ungulates where both male and female animals come with horns. The model itself is great though.
A little question to the ones who own or have seen the Papo Chamois in hand: Can this model be used as a female? Or is it already made as a male? I just can't tell it from the main product picture.

Anyways I am excited to see the next batch.

I can't check mine at the moment but according to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] it is a female or at least it can be used as one.
However, the horns tell me that Papo made it after a male what doesn't mean you can't use it as a female.

Thank you Roger!

She can be a female with slightly excessive horns then. I'd just love to have a couple and not just one single male model.

The pose and texture of this chamois is really different from what we are used. I don't think I will avoid it just because I already have the Papo model.
