Both have their charm, I'll keep both Wink I hope Collecta´s won't be XXL compared to Papo.

I'm glad a takahe is being released. Nice to see CollectA introducing new species. I don't understand that base, it's not very appealing but probably last minute manufacturing issues forced them to redesign the model. Nevertheless, something to put on top of my wish list.
That marmot also looks very good and detailed, furry enough for this cold winter and I really love its inquisitive expression. Another good point are the tiny extremities like feet and arms, it gives a very realistic touch to the model. If it's an Alpine marmot, what's almost sure, I'm very well served already and I don't think Papo's model needs to be replaced. Eventually, I will acquire it just to join the tribe.

Unfortunately, it's quite common for CollectA to feature an excessive amount of grass around birds' feet, and I don't believe this is a last-minute decision. This excessive grass can be frustrating to deal with. However, I doubt that the thick feet of the figurine would cause instability issues.

Strange batch with only 3 newcomers? I think the releasing strategie of CollectA is nice to create hype, however when the batches are so small, maybe they could overthink it.

The marmot is another nice model for CollectA´s mountain animal range, but however very common - even that this model looks fantastic.

The Takahe is a really unusually animal choice and the prove that CollectA can still surprise. I have the old UK Yowies model, that I still really appreciate (love the charme of those models), but I think for most of the collectors this bird is something really special.

80038 Haflinger Stallion

Ιn our Horse World, the CollectA Haflinger mare is finally getting a
companion: a magnificent Haflinger Stallion! Caught in a spatially expansive
stride, he embodies lively energy, with mane and tail flowing in the breeze.
Very nicely carved out is the solid build, the broad chest and strong
hindquarters. Colour wise, CollectA follows the classical colours of a
golden body shade with flaxen mane and tail as well as the fetlock area.

80031  Ingentia prima

Our pre-historic line this week starts with Ingentia prima (In-gen-tea-ah
pre-ma) - One of the first, really big dinosaurs to evolve.  This
herbivorous dinosaur roamed northwestern Argentina in the Late Triassic,
approximately 210 million years ago.  Measuring around 10 metres in length
and estimated to have weighed 10 tonnes, Ingentia demonstrates that the
first giant dinosaurs evolved some 35 million years earlier than previously
thought. It was named and scientifically described in 2018.  Its fossilised
remains revealed that these animals grew rapidly and that they possessed an
extremely efficient bird-like respiratory system.  Although Ingentia bones
demonstrate several adaptations to gigantism, it still lacks many of the
anatomical features associated with the distantly related Diplodocus and
Brachiosaurus.  For example, its legs were more bent and not the huge,
weight-bearing columns associated with the later Jurassic sauropods.

80041 Takahe

Takahe is a large, flightless
bird native to New Zealand. It is notable for its striking colours and
rarity. Once thought to be extinct, the Takahe was rediscovered in 1948 in
the remote Murchison Mountains of New Zealand's South Island. The bird is
considered one of the country's great conservation success stories. Do take
note of the marvellous painting work and the detailed craftmanship of the
feathers. The feathers have been individually carved out, from the flurry
ones on neck and head to the large feathers with a distinct quill on the
bird's undercoat. The colour gradient flows gently and harmoniously from
deep blue to turquoise to green. Only the most experienced and skilled hands
can achieve this radiant effect, ensuring the application appears light and
natural, preserving each delicate feather detail.

80044 Marmot

Marmots are large,ground-dwelling rodents that belong to the squirrel family. They are found
primarily in mountainous regions of North America, Europe, and Asia and are
known for their robust bodies, burrowing habits, and social behaviours.
There are 15 species of marmots, with some of the most well-known being the
Alpine marmot in Europe. They typically live in alpine meadows, grasslands,
and sometimes forests. Marmots play a critical role in their ecosystems.
Their burrowing activity aerates the soil and promotes plant growth, and
they serve as prey for a variety of predators. Additionally, their droppings
help fertilize the areas around their burrows, supporting the growth of
local vegetation.

Now it looks interesting. The Takahe is much better than the Yowies version. The marmot is nice too

I enjoy reading the presentation text. So the marmot is intended to represent a generic model. I understand it because it expands geographically the commercial interest of the model. Also, the different marmot species are really hard to tell. Though, they couldn't avoid a special reference to Alpine marmot which is natural because that's the species we always think when the name marmot is mentioned.
Whilst I easily pointed the base of the takahe as an unappealing element, I forgot to mention the spectacular work made with the feathers which is absolutely impressive and I feel it will look much more realistic in hands. I understand why CollectA puts a focus to it in the presentation.
