| I also love to know what is wrong with the figures but I cannot go against my feelings, are fantastic figures! Wonderful and dynamic horses! :) Unfortunately you are saying that the Portuguese horse is looking like a Mustang, sometimes globalisation is not nice! |

| It happens the same to me, although I know there are several mistakes I love them ^^
Oh Roger, don´t get upset! Lusitanos are more beautiful than Mustangs, and this figurine doesn´t make them justice!
Mangalarga, which coat are you planning for him? _________________ Visit my collection gallery at http://sylobe.deviantart.com/gallery/26714361

| Don't worry Roger, personally I'm also planning to make one of Collecta horses (either Spanish or Lusitano) into Alter Real, another Portuguese breed Kiger Mustangs generally come in dun and less often in grullo, so I'll choose one of these colours. _________________ ~Magda (formerly Mangalarga) Blog | Facebook |

| Oh I love the Lipizzaner, congratulations Sylvia on all! Your andalusian has a different paintwork to mine - that's interesting. Your's is a more bluey colour like you said, whereas mine is more like a dun colouring. _________________ Harriet My *Collection* My *Handmade Animal Sculpture*

| Mangalarga, the Alter Real is one of my favourite breeds :) Harriet, does your PRE have a silvery coat or just grey? (Andalusian is not the real name of the breed, it is Pura Raza Española, or Pure Spanish Breed in English ) I love color variations! _________________ Visit my collection gallery at http://sylobe.deviantart.com/gallery/26714361

| I love threads like this: fun models and great information! and Sylvia, I love the color on the bay black mare, even if her shoulders did make me laugh out loud. Looks like they made her belly flat to make it easier to stamp with all their company info? they’re going to have to fix that, coz that’s a real problem. It’s one thing if a flaw makes you think “that horse will have no endurance”; at least you’re thinking horse. It’s really bad if the flaw forces you to think “this little plastic figure has flaws.” The Arab mare is lovely! very feminine. She reminds me of the Breyer Sham: http://identifyyourbreyer.com/images/00410.jpg Ooo the golden chestnut is yummy! I’m not a big fan of the metallic sheens that seem to be all the rage these days, but this one is lovely. And your photo is at the perfect angle to show her liveliness. But now little plastic animals all over the globe are wondering, "why are you suddenly bending my tail and horns?" |

| Hum, that´s a great theory: plain barrels to be able to stamp company info.
I didn´t know about that Breyer model, but you´r right, Collecta Arabian mares look very very similar to this one! The Breyer looking to the left, the Collecta looking to the right (and the front right left more blended).
I´m glad you liked my pics, it was a bit difficult to take some to show the metallic glow :)
Oooh I´ve noticed something... All the new Collecta models make by Deborah are standing or... with the right front leg blnded and not touching the floor xD Just a curiouss thing I noticed. _________________ Visit my collection gallery at http://sylobe.deviantart.com/gallery/26714361

It's a silvery coat, sort of metallic - I noticed that it does have a blue tint on the legs where the black is - but there's no blue on the rest of the body. _________________ Harriet My *Collection* My *Handmade Animal Sculpture*

Collecta horses also have color variations :) Roger, I´m planning to paint a Portuguese horse using a Safari mold. Not sure about Lusitano or Alter Real :) He´s waiting for his new color for a while now! I don´t have time xD ken yeo, thank you so much! He´s also one of my favs :) _________________ Visit my collection gallery at http://sylobe.deviantart.com/gallery/26714361

That's great Sylvia, I think it is always better to make the harder to find, you have Lusitanos in Safari, CollectA Papo and Schleich ranges! So an Alter would be better, don't you agree? :) |

| I finally got mine! Bought both versions of the Arab, PRE and PSL - only one TB for some reason. Mine is most definitely black - yes, her body's shaded reddish brown but there's no lightening around the face or groin, meaning she's a sunfaded black rather than bay or brown. I'm seriously impressed with the painting, which surprised me. While the execution tends to leave something to be desired (quite a bit of overspray) it looks like they're trying to imitate the nicely shaded Breyer-style colors rather than the flatter, more basic paintjobs you see on brands like Safari and Schleich. I will agree about the narrowness though, and the bullyplastic doesn't exactly thrill me. Possibly the latter is the reason for the narrowness, as the softer plastic means the legs are more prone to warping if the body becomes to heavy. Both my PSLs are slightly tippy, so I think I'll leave them lying down just in case. |

| The Lusitano stallions are gorgeous! And... well, they have sth common with the Taboo resin horse) Anyway, hope to get both lusitano and andalusian stallions too one day)
And as I look at the black (dark bay?) thoroughbred mare, I feel a bit sorry that I've already taken the bay one. Her colour's so bright! |
