- Roger, we all know that all figures/figurines are "artistic representations". Are they supposed to be educational? Maybe somewhat educational... Because if so, all the lines have figures/figurines that are inaccurate for the most part then. I'm mean Schleich put's their "cute spin" on their figures, and that's not educational or realistic.
So the body position of the Mojo sabre tooth is fine, all I said was I just don't like the fur texture/paint job. If they had made the fur of the sabre tooth more like like the style of the Papo lioness, tigers etc. in my opinion, would look better. I really haven't looked at enough museum sabre tooth cat or woolley mammoth skeletons to know that the figures should look like. *The only thing I really don't like about the Papo sabre tooth is could have had a little more thickness to it (Little to thin "under fed" looking to me). My favorite mammoth is the Safari Carnegie adult(bull)mammoth.
I'm not saying nothing different from you! I also am not a fan of the excessive cuteness of Schleich figures and I agree that the Papo lioness is fantastic, probabily the best figure I know, but I think so because it is realistic and not artistic (stylised) in an exagerated way as the lion! Regarding the sabre we know more or less the shape of a real one but not how the coat looks! I cannot say which kind of texture or painting is better, it is only a question of taste! I do like texture of Papo lioness for a lioness. But the texture of Mojo hyena, f. i., is much better than Papo hyena! (I know those are not prehistoric figures) Not all figures from a brand have the same quality. Not all Papo are nice as not all Mojo are perfect and as not all Schleich are bad. What I don't understand in your comment is when you say that Mojo should not be sugested to make prehistoric mammals! It looks like a fundamentalist comment! Sorry I don't want to hurt you with this word, is not oportune but you have to remember that I have many limitations with your language. :) I know you can see what is a nicely sculpted figure but you are not always able to be indifferent to the brand that is behind it, it is very usual in our days and very hard to people who lives sunk in a consumer society like you and me! :) |

a wolf, dracorex, suricate and squirrel????? That dracorex looks good, except for a few things. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.](Image is from Wikipeda.) Dracorex is probably a baby pachycephalosaurus. Safari should stick to the latest science. I counted more than seventeen plates on that stgosaurus, and then there are the velociraptor... (I don't want to start a debate here, It's just something I believe in.) |

| The chipmunk is most probably part of the Incredible Creatures line-up. There is a new horse, but can't id the breed. Finally, a nice Dracorex... the CollectA big-headed one was freakin' me out. The Wolf looks great...but notihng new. And more meerkats... Safari says we should expect more previews soon. |

| there looks like some white llama/alpaca type figure and another hoofed animal (antelope) next to it. Also possibly some sort of hippo and rhino? its next to the lion on the table. I cant quite see it. This is so annoying! We must have some more photos of the animals on the left side of the table! |

| New alpacas would wery nice, the older ones looks not good. Then i like the most wild and northamerican animals, but i don't like their horses. They have eyes like a frog.
My biggest want from Safari (or another company) ist a paka, the animal on my avatar. |
