Papo 2012 ? PAPO 2012 !!!!!

I noticed alot of Papo's dinosaurs are modeled after the Jurassic Park movies, so I was thinking maybe the dilophosaurus:

Collecting is a love affair Arnaud, and sometimes we expect too much from the companies. Many of us are SCHLEICH additcs but it seems this year, the millesime is not the best in their eyes...
As my friends here know, SCHLEICH is not my favourite hunting ground, but it is a great company and I know this forum will be far smaller or even don't exist without SCHLEICH.
I hope you will be happy in our forum, it's a place where people are friendly with each other even if we don't agree on everything.
You are right to love SCHLEICH models and to collect them and I sincerely hope you will share your collection pics and thought with us.
I hope you will look at the other sections to discover how old, wide and varied is the animal replicas universe

There is nothing wrong for you (Arnaud) to love Schleich and I think is OK for us to make critic on them. It's doesn't mean we hate Schleich and perhaps many collector after some years of collections. The expectation of accuracy becoming more picky in details. For example 2012 releases IMO I am happy with panda and some others are not. Therefore the comment and rebate began & we are not angry and just hoping Schleich can be more precise on details.(even through we know their target is for children).

Our discussions about different companies is only that a discussion. Not mad/angry or hating...disappointment maybe when we see other companies doing so much better with their designs and choice of figures than our favorite one.
We know that many of the manufacturers representatives actually come to the forum as a visitor and read the comments.
We try to give them ideas as to how they can do better and what figures we'd like to see.
Of course what counts the most to any business is the $$$$. If you can't sell what you make you won't stay in business much longer.

I don't like the baby t rex, it reminds me of Godzilla's babies.

Yes, the baby T-rex is completly a commercial figure, there's nothing of realism in it! But it is very apealing for children, Papo knows what kids want! :)
Usually large Papo dinosaurs are not very expensive compared with other brands so I believe the Brachio will not be too expensive.

I normally don't collect dinosaurs, but the brachiosaurus is hard to resist :) I'm also wondering what animals Papo will release in 2012. I'm hoping to maybe see a bit more sealife since Safari released only one and Schleich didn't release any.

About the brachiosaurus, I'm quite sure it will be very finely made, as usual with PAPO reptiles and dinos .

Hi my friends! The nice dinos! And I, ll buy of course this gorgeous Brachio! Because, Christophe, I very like sauropodas! And at last I have some news about Papo models 2012. They are:


- caribou (or reindeer)
- wild sow
- oryx
- moufflon
- mammoth baby
- poodle
- mastino (neopolitano)
- bull terrier (?)
- new horses and cowes

But Kiki, you should buy all of them! Now you have daddy T-rex, Mummy T-rex, the Baby T-rex and a lot of food!
I understand this is a hard year and commmercial decisions should be considered carefully! Papo and Schleich are relatively confortable in the market so not risk at all. Papo having those called easy decisions, nothing better than sell lots of T-rexes and a Brachio and Schleich is definitively dedicated to children, its main market! Everything in thw world should be collected but it looks that the realistic animals and unusual species are only in Safari, Mojo and CollectA strategies!
Well, unless these ungulates are interesting, reindeer, mouflon and oryx!
