| My catalogues from the beginning of this centyry shows a great variety of wonderful figueres of people at the railway station. Some are working, others are waiting. I have admired this series for a long time, so when there was a chance, I just had to get this little assortment of them Now the non can get her newspaper I especilælay like these, - just look at their legs and shoes From what I have seen, there must be at least 50 different ones including various colours of skin, hair and clothes. Does anybody have some of the others ? |

| Really great collection of Bullyland human figurines you have there Susanne! Although i like them, i stopped collecting these kind of figurines, i have most of them for sale or trade in that part of the forum here, several brands included. As cheeky as i am myself, i would bring the sweeper guy very near to the nun, maybe he can convince her to get a man again... But i guess, he has to "sweep" her doormat for that or so...haha... _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman

| Very funny and nice people Congratulations Susanne and thank You for sharing I would start collecting Homo Sapiens if any brand would produce little series with "STS forum members", only about 500 figures to collect then and so much fun _________________ Anna Horse and Bird studio - Horse sculptures My model horse collection

| I came across these Homo sapiens by chance. It is an old post, but since I also love and collect these figures, I allow myself this addition. You can often find these figures in model train shops. They fit the G-Scale format ('G' stands for the German word 'Groß' = big). Correctly they run under the name 'LGB', a gauge that is also used for outdoor systems. Bullyland started in 1996 with a few characters. Catalog 1996 A year later almost all figures were listed in the catalog. Catalog 1997 novelties In the following years individual additional figures were added. Catalog 1998 Catalog 2000 Catalog 2004 The figures were sold in window-boxes or in a big display box As Susanne mentioned, there are many color options. Not all are shown in the catalogs. The hardest to find are the brown and black monks. Also, some of the seated people are not common. Finally a look at my collection: |

| I remember perfectly this old topic. thomas, it is all very interesting. If you want to introduce a little more about the model train hobby on forum, it will be very appreciated. Toy animal collecting and railway dioramas are closely connected. Also, railway scales are always very confuse once they are not exactly converted to a certain scale but they refer to gauge width like when we talk about 43mm. On the other hand, on the animal hobby, we can convert 54mm to 1/32 scale. That's really so different worlds but surely connected to each other. |

| What a great revival! Such a fun play series idea, thanks for posting these oldies. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. Hello Roger, here is an answer after only 9 months : Unfortunately, I have absolutely nothing to do with the topic "railroad". My "knowledge" comes only from the descriptions on ebay. But in Wikipedia the gauges and scales are all listed: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rail_transport_modelling_scales Sorry: so much time and so little new knowledge |
