| I have theese amazing giraffes from Willy! I think giraffes from Britains are the best... all those details (tail, hooves, ears, knees...). But one think was pretty bad... coloring. So... here is new coat for one of them :) BEFORE... I had to bend their necks a little and their legs... | They are the most wonderful giraffes I have ever seen The mould is fabulous, and with your paintjob they are PERFECT It seems we are getting one more repaint-artist in our community Gosh, it must have taken you hours and hours, - and with your great knowledge about giraffes the result is just ...WOW !!!! Thankyou for sharing the fine pictures of these marvellous giraffes PS :I did not know that Britains had made animals with moveable necks, that is a lovely detail ! PPS How tall are they ? |

| A few nice things about the Britain's giraffes... : ) 1) SIZE...They look "relatively proportional" to the other figures in the collection, so that if you set up your African savanna display, they look proportional next to the Britains' zebra, ostrich, gazelle, gnu and Black rhino etc..
2) The lovely artistic detail and realism they have(The tail really looks like a real giraffe tail).
3) With the moveable neck, you can place 2 or more together, and by positioning the neck differently on how ever many you have, they can appear to look different figures(Instead of the same one).

| Wow Martin, finally i see your work on these giraffes, great job! Yes Susanne, Britains made some animals with movable parts in their later deetail series, this giraffe, an austrich wih movable neck to, and a crocodile with a movable jaw, which could be openend or closed. here are some pics, the giraffe, and her calf were made in 2 different paintversions to. | Yes, I have the version 2 giraffes. The adult croc is a cool figure too! With moveable parts(Although, minimal), they should be classified as "action figures". |

| Great Martin, I also agree that Britains are the best giraffes! I also have a one, almost unpainted and thought in ask Harriet to repaint it. Anyway I changed my idea because it is the only one I have and I want it as it is! I love her in that way. But, it is really fantastic to see a repainting from someone that more than know all the details of a giraffe pattern, is someone that really love them and see them as the most magnificent animal in the world. Your work is absolutly wonderful so my big congratulations!!! Susanne: Willy is a complete expert in Britains and I'm also collecting them with the help of our fantastic friends. Someday I will show them compared with modern brands! I hope! :) |
