Actually I am glad you asked it, Christophe and my answer could be the same as Susanne. The truth is that I only remember seeing the second picture. I don’t know if I missed the first or if I thought it was Andreas. Oh, that is a perfect portrait, I love it too.

Wow Christophe, just looked at some of you pics, it seems that you are taking zoo photography quite seriously too !

Thank you Rtas, spending one day in a zoo with my camera is a great therapy for me, excellent to forget how the world turns.
Walking, see an animal, find a place where I can avoid as much as possible wiring,waiting to make a good picture, make a lot of bad ones and suddenly heart is beating faster and you hope you did it.
Coming back home, loading everything on Lr and discovering a few pics I can be proud of: My favourite sport Alas life doesn't help me to practice more.

Great pictures again, Christophe  Thurns out France has many wonderful zoos, not very popular outside the country. Have you been in  Doué-la-Fontaine, la Vallée des Singes or Réserve Zoologique de la Haute-Touche ? One unknown zoo for me Natur’Zoo de Mervent will get a very rare and exciting Cat soon(before even Parc des Felins !)  - Iberian Lynx  

I can share some photos from one cult destination: Los Angeles Zoo. In the 80's they had Zebra Duiker, Jentinks Duiker, Sumatran Rhino, Harnessed bushbuck, Japanese Serow ...

When it comes to rare species, they are still very strong. It is one of the very few places in the World, where you can see Mountain Tapir, Red
Uakari, Calamian Deer, Californian Condor etc. They have also  Black, Yellow-backed and Red-flanked Duikers, Southern Hairy-nosed Wombat, Ringtail, American Badger, Desert Bighorn Sheep, Massai giraffe, Coquerel's sifaka, Gerenuk, Speke's Gazelle, Pronghorn and many more.

You know more French zoo than I Those zoos are still only on my wishlist. To tell the truth I live 2 kms of Belgium so I went to Para Daisa, Antwerpen and Planckendaele zoos more often than to french ones.

Thank you, Christophe ! I am really curious, about the French zoos. Been in the three Belgian zoos you mentioned and the most of the greatest zoos in Europe, I am still missing the France's top. Been only in Paris' ones. I was planning Loire Valley Zoo trip this Summer, but we all know what happened...

LA Zoo is a place full of surprises, but with some outdated parts, unfortunately

100 miles south of LA is located the Zoo Mecca of the World, the most famous pilgrimage site for any zoo enthusiast   With not one, but three amazing collections. I'm talking about San Diego, of course

San Diego zoo Safari park is usually overshadowed by his big brother and get generally less public attention. Until the autumn of 2019. After the San Diego Zoo Global decided to phase out it's symbol, the Giant Pandas, they needed an equal "Giant" magnets for the zoo fans. And they arrived, but this time not in the Zoo. According to a Safari Park staff member, there are 22 Platypuses currently in captivity: 20 in Australia and 2 in SDZSP.

Duikers and Okapis go along very well together and often  are part of mixed exhibits. Blue Duikers, Yellow-backed and Red Natal Duikers in Europe and Yellow-backed, Red-flanked, Black and Bay Duikers in North America    

The resting White Rhinos were very calm ladies group. I had the luck to touch and feed Indian Rhino mother and calf in the Asian part of the Safari Park

they seem to be very well in these wide open spaces!
