| Thank you Amy, Harriet, Mihnea. Amy did not know that in reality this looks like one of my favorite characters from Looney Tunes. Not bad I laughed at her ... beep-beep. Our friends (even the terrible hornet) from our garden. The photos are taken in late spring and summer this year [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I photographed these two friends over the pond that is located within the gardens [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]However, with larger mammals around our gazebos managed to catch feral cats sleeping lens. Normally they are timid and do not give to yourself approaches. Photo hedgehog I did a few weeks ago before the entrance to our building. Probably chose our apartment. This is a junior because he was older but still, surprisingly, instead of a roll into a ball to escape. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| And here;s something bordering on fantasy world, or from the land of the elves. Enchanted Princess and the elves. This world existed in the past year in the garden granny. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Beautiful pictures zbyszek. The butterflies are beautiful. My daughter loves ladybugs. I love the frogs and the cats, but the hedgehog I would have to catch. They are so cute. I love the pictures with the Schleich animals. They are so great. The butterflies are amazing and the frog jumping on the horse. Too cute. Thanks for sharing. |

| Thank you Harriet and Amy. Yesterday refuge from the rain on our balcony terrible monster. So at least my wife says. Here it is. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]As you can see it was a big spider. Unfortunately I can not name it. My wife is afraid of spiders. Therefore, the children had a lot of fun and entertainment. He rolled his arms and pretended that I had a spider in them and I want to let my wife on the back. There was a lot of running, squealing and laughing. Later, he almost got to be a rag |

| That's one BIG Spider zbyszek!! My sister would HATE this! We get the same ones in our house, last night we had one the same size too, maybe bigger, we call them house spiders, but I don't know their real name. The one last night almost climbed up my sister's leg, but I saw it and said calmly, "Come over here" but she knew and practically jumped into my arms! It had about an inch long body and if it was spread out it would be about three inches including it's legs. It ran under the kitchen top, so I couldn’t get it. I would have put it outside if I’d caught it. |

| I just read your story with the spider to my wife. A funny story, although my wife said with a horrible horrible survival. I think even that after something so that all searched the room to make sure that there is no other spider. Even if it was to last until morning. And the size of our spider were similar. My wife tells me that he was enormous and terrifying |

| During the weekend we were at their parents and experienced something extraordinary. Visited archaeological reserve which is located on a hill in the wetland area in the old forest. There are graves from before 5500 years in Poland have called " pyramids cuiaviensis". On the path to the reserve passed through the veil of these caterpillars that hung on the single thread. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Then we heard klangor (screaming) coming cranes. In the silence of an ancient forest forest it was something exciting, amazing. And then on a small clearing in the sky above us we saw them. Majestically fluttering in the sky with shouts. Most likely, flew to Spain on the wintering grounds. The first time I was able to see such a sight. It was a fascinating experience. And that's the end of the summer. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Cranes have already heard many times, I discovered the rafting nest and eggs but the first time I saw the key screaming cranes straight over their head. And the most fun in this adventure is it that my wife has discovered a new species of bird. Flying turkey. I thought that the cries of turkeys over the fields come to us.

| This is a very nice thread too! Some of you have probably seen a picture of my dog Nuppu in the "meeting each other" thread, she's a 1,5-year-old Coton de Tuléar girl (and the smartest dog in the world if you ask me). We also have a hedgehog living under our patio, can't imagine a better and safer place for a hedgehog to live. We can't be sure of its gender or age of course but we're quite sure it's an "old man" hedgehog because he's big and fat and it looks like he's got a little grey beard We call him Niilo. Last summer we were all heartbroken for one day or so because dad found a drowned hedgehog in the backyard fountain but then we saw Niilo again heading for his nest so it was an other hedgehog after all. Across the street there lives a cat who likes to visit our front yard sometimes and it seems like she does a good job keeping the moles out because some of our neighbours are having problems with them. She likes to lie on our front porch because it's heated Then there's a lot of crows and even more squirrels around here. Before we moved here I never really had the chance to see wildlife around the house so it's been really exciting to see them here :) I'll post some pics here when I have the time, now I don't have... |

| I found this fabulous moth on a window inside the house, I brought it outside and took some photos. Later I identified it as a Sharp-lined yellow moth. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Moths give me the creeps for some reason :S I like butterflies but every time I find a moth has got into the house I start panicking. No idea why that is. I'm quite afraid of other insects and spiders as well, I'll bet I learned it from my big sister because when I was little I of course copied everything she did so if she started screaming at the sight of a spider I thought I had to do the same |

| Beautiful moth picture. Thanks for sharing. I have always loved catching moths. They are such neat creatures. I had 2 kittens outside my bathroom window that lived under the house. Their mother disappeared and I was feeding them. I was finally able to catch them. I brought them in the house and started feeding them. The first one I caught was sick and didn't make it, but I have the second kitten that I am taking care of now. My cat doesn't like it too much, but she will eventually get used to it. Both kittens were covered in fleas when I brought them in and I think that had a lot to do with the death of the first one. Here is a picture of the survivor. The other kitten was a calico. | I watched its mamma grow up and all the other litters its grandma had grow up, but within the last couple of weeks the grandma got run over and skinned up her back leg and the whole side of her and then she disappeared. Within the last week the mamma has disappeared. We have coyotes and a fox family around so I am wondering if one of them got her. I have been trying to feed her kittens because I could hear them crying outside my window. I never could get close to them, but I finally was able to catch them with my daughter's butterfly net. I caught the calico first and then went back about 45 minutes later and caught this one. My daughter really got attached to the calico, but unfortunately it didn't make it through the night. Now she is attached to this one. She seems to be in better shape than the calico. She is really playful and starting to come around nicely. She was scared for the first night and hissed and scratched at me, but I think that was due to the fact that as soon as I brought her in my cat started hissing at her and scared her. She has mellowed out nicely. |

Lovely that you saved this cute little kitten! It's adorable, sad about the others but at least this one will have a good chance now. |

| Thanks Harriet. This one has become a loving member of the family. It likes to curl up on your shoulder and purr until it falls asleep. |

| It was really well done to rescue the kittens. I hope the one that is now left will grow up to be a happy and healthy cat :) It's always a good sign if it is playful, and judging by the look in its eyes it's not gonna give up easily! |
