I like that idea to, although i doubt if i remember all the newcomers...

I like this idea of real name!!

It would be by far the easiest if people for inst. put the name under their contributions, - like Harriet and Carolynn, for instanse

In case somebody is in doubt, klick on "profile", klick on "Signature" and just write your name there

OR...even better, like Kristie, who changed her member-name to her real name

YES YES signature on profile....

I think that is the best solucion, because user name is our identification in more forums

or pages. Is not good change.

Signature , show names to every post.

I didn't even know you could do that until you mentioned it Susanne, then I went and did it!

I have worn off the letter S on my laptop typing my name... no really I mean it, I have worn off the letter S!
Ok, what did I do wrong. When I finished this entry the"signature" didn't show. Ok I just went back and "saved" it. Let's see what happens now...

How come Susanne can have a smiley face with hers Christophe, but I can't have a smiling flower

So I have to hit "signature" somewhere or does it automatically put it in when I "send" my message?

Hmm that's odd.

You click the Profile link at the top of this page, then choose the Signature tab.
On that page you can write your signature just like posting in the forum, including using forum smileys.
Then you click Save at the bottom and it should get added to the end of every post.

Oh wait wait - I think I know!
On your Profile page go to the Preferences tab. There is a place to choose Always Attach Signature. Yours must have No chosen?

I'm glad you did it, Sue! :) I arrived late to this topic.
Anyway I and Christophe can change all profile informations when you want and cannot find it. :)
Also it is much easier everybody put the signatures inspite of creating a huge list.
So, if anyone more want to add the signature and cannot figure how to do it pm us or post here!

I did change it to as an extra to the link of my website.

I translated the profile fields from German to English!
If you don't like it let me know!

Every member can choose his own board and profile language at the bottom of the Profile preferences page.

Me too... i have to admit that I have a little problem with remembering names of all members and their nicknames are confusing for me

I was just about to post a thread, but it turns out I don't have access. Would anyone mind starting a "Show off your poultry" theme? I'm in a chickeny mood, there are so many easter decorations around this time of year...

that will be a great thread: a chickeny mood must be attended to!

No seniority and no favorites on STS.
This section was temporary closed for a simple reason, when we opened it on january, a lot of new topics were opened and we discovered that too much "show us your's" killed the pleasure of the "show us yours". We thought that if a new topic was opened every day or even every week it will be too much to enjoy all of them.
So we closed the section as an emergency solution. But we let a door, if someone want to open a new "show us your's" it is still possible

So the next "Show us your's" will be "Show us your poultry..."

I said we have now an emergency solution to avoid an overcrowded section.

But 100 heads are better than a few, so if someone have better ideas, they are very welcome
