PostSubject: The Year says 1991 -   Brand Identification topic - Page 6 EmptyMon Nov 28, 2011 2:00 am

I know I will regret sharing this way of searching with everyone... Wink now you will all do it (if you don't already) :)
Last year (again on Ebay) I just put in the search line - plastic animals. There was a "lot of sea animals" and amongst them were these...now they all say on the bottom...Made in China (within a circle)...C (which stands for copyright) 1991
Killer Whale D, Sperm Whale C, Right Whale B, Humpback Whale A.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Manatee L, Fur Seal K, Walrus J.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Shark G.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Harbor Seal H (on the left) The Harbor Seal on the right says AAA and Made in China
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Do you recognize these figures? question They are 6 - 7 cm long (so small) scratch
For those of you who own a Gascher's Collector's Guide for Schleich Animals - look on page 40 under Classics - Sea Animals...
Very similar aren't they. So, are these Schleich or not? drunken (That is why I am putting this under the Schleich topic)

I can't find the post that was once on the forum about the Harp Seal and something about AAA making it but that it is a Schleich Classic...so if it doesn't say AAA were these also figures that were made for Schleich but by a different company or under a different name... scratch How did that work again?

Here is another "find"... recognize it? confused

No...it isn't Crocobert - Laughing

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Again in the Gascher's Guide you will find him on page 307 under Authentics...produced only in 1993.

BUT, it says on the underside:

Alligator C(for copyright)
Safari Ltd
China
CE
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Also not known to be produced by Schleich...but still a Schleich.
Of course when it comes to the Gascher's Guide don't believe all the prices they value these figures at unless you have been watching items on ebay and keeping track of what they go for...but I was excited to see they value this figure at 50.00 Euros or $66.00. Anyone interested??? Laughing

Ahahah! I was in doubt for a minute but it is not really Crocobert! It is a aligator and Crocobert is a crocodile! Laughing tongue Maybe it is Aligabert? geek

I am glad to have the time to come back and visit and post again also. The posting photos was difficult for me until I saw the link from Susanne to posting that recommended Photobucket. It is so easy using that. cheers

Those are wonderful finds cheers

Yes, Schleich sold them, but not marked Schleich.
They had the names AAA or Safari still on them, so they could well be the ones from Schleich.

Safari made the Authentics for several years after and sold them as their own brand, too.
Here is the link to the pictures showing the painting of the ones that Schleich sold :
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
But safari sold them at the same time, too scratch

The little AAAs were sold by both Bullyland and Schleich and several others.
You can see the sea animals on page 22 and onwards here :
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Hmmm, - reading what I just wrote above, it seem a bit messy scratch
I hope it is possible to understand Embarassed Wink

So I am guessing that we are to post photos when we don't know who made it and by doing so others will let us know if they recognize it or know of the company?

These say the year 1998. T.M. the name of the animal (elephant, lion, etc.) on the underside. Made in China.

Now individual photos

So would they then go under the "newer" section, 1998 isn't that long ago. Is that company still around?

I am almost 100% sure your pig is from McDonalds 1998, Rusty
There is a great range of them, I suppose they were a kind of "happy meal" animals.
Torben has a fine collection of them
