[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Those boars were sold here in Finland in the Ähtäri zoo as keychains at the souvenir shop around '95. They were sold from an open cardboard container that had the usual Made in China type decorations printed on it, no set or brand names or anything. So I'd guess they're plain China animals, but perhaps you've already figured as much. I couldn't guess who produced them, though. |

| I'm almost positive I had the seals at some point in time, they were sold in a dollar store package, another Chinese no-name brand. |

| Anyone know who made, or at least issued, these? [img] [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][/img] I'm guessing they might have been premiums, free gifts, with something. |

| Thanks for the answers folks. I'd never heard of them before, but have now done a little research, and discovered another 10 animals in this set. I wonder how many there were in total? |

I recently asked the same question on the blog Dave, as soon as we can get a name to them I can contribute quite a few to a page...I've been told they were 'Kellogg's' (which means they could just as likely be Nabisco, Weetabix, Quaker or Peak Freans!!). I used to think they were Siku (which would mean they could be in dozens of brand's packaging!) and some of the poses do have a similarity to the catalogue images, but others are quite different. It's a big range as well, domestic cats and dogs, wild and woodland animals and foul. Scale is all over the place, but within each subject; it is a bit closer, so they might have been separate series'. There are at least 3 elephants for instance, but one is quite stylised (looks more like a Cracker novelty). | Two minutes on Google (and a read of the other comments -always helps!)...it would have been Coleman's in the UK!
If someone with more knowledge of Vitacup (in Europe) wants to start a page (in the right place) with Dave's image I'll add mine...I have 6 images with 29 different animals.
