My TOPPS figures

Raccoon, squirrel and dog are quite recent flea market finds. Emilia (Deseo) sent me the polar bear and another raccoon, thank you Emilia!

The other raccoon I made into raccoon dog. It's not very realistic (well, none of these are!), but I think it came out just as cute as the others. I might still do some improvements and make it even more stylized, now it's quite obvious that it's a repaint. It should be even more simplified to fit in. And yes, I also shortened the ears.

I don't know anything about the company, but they have TOPPS and year 1996 or 1997 on them. If someone can tell more, it would be appreciated :)

They might be a little hard to find, because they were sold back in 1996 (I don't know how long they were in production..). Anyways, at least some of them are available at Ebay...

The baby animal series is called Topps Baby Wild Animals, and they were sold in blind bags with candy. I was so obsessed with these when I was a kid : )

The chow-chow is from Topps Precious Puppies, which were also blind bags.

I like these, I have a few of them in my collection but haven't pursued getting more.
Topps is a US company that makes baseball cards and other collector cards.
I need to remember to add a page for them on the wiki.

As Tim said already, they're from US. And I don't think they have been connected to any other toy brands, since the company makes mostly trading cards (sports escpecially).
The animal series were mostly sold in supermarkets and kiosks, not in toy shops.



I have about half of the baby animals series and like 5 dogs... I have to keep eyes open for them in the flea market, since I really want the fox : )

Oh, wow! I also wish you had won those! Amazing! But I'm sure you'll find them at some point.

At least we know that there is lots of them out there - we'll just need to keep our eyes open. And if we ever find a huge amount of them with many doubles, we have no trouble finding someone to trade them with

These are really cute animal figures. Surely a joy for many children and some adulte people, of course!
My only figure from this brand is a fox that I received from Susanne. The tiger baby is extremely cute, congratulations! :)
