2011 ? ~ Schleich Company ~ Masters of Suspense ~

Glad to know I'm not the only one going absolutely bonkers
//edit. I just tested what Google gives me if I search for "schleich 2011" and guess what, the first result wasn't LG but this most excellent forum over here

Hm, I doubt it. American black bears are landmark animals for the USA and very well-known to American children, and the States are one of the most important markets for toys companies.
And do many children know Asiatic black bears?
I knew him from my very childhood, but that's because this animal inhabited the former USSR (Amur Region) and I knew the bear very well from the books like "Mammals of the USSR" and the like. But fellows like me and all of us here at the forum are not very common among the Schleich's target audience, to say the least

You are right Kirill.
Moon Bear is another name for it, well that's what I read. I think that name is cute, moon bear and it's fitting as well for the flash on it's chest looks like a moon on it's side.

I am also constantly thinking about Schleich 2011 and even 2012! It is driving me nuts! I wish Schleich would just put us out of our misery! Someone must have a contact at Schleich who could give us some news!!! I cant take it any more.....! :)

If I'm not mistaken doesn't "Barricade" have close relations with Schleich? Perhaps he has information about the new releases?

Believe me guys & girls, as much as I would like to share some news - I just can't.
Problem is that if you leak any Infos (Pics or anything else) BEFORE the new Catalogue
is officially released, you will get into a LOT of trouble if anybody at Schleich finds out
who could not keep their mouths shut - it's even in the working contracts that you have
to remain silent about any unreleased projects. It won't be long until the new Catalogue
comes out, and the Toy-fairs are also starting soon, so relax ... all I can tell you is
that there will be a lot of great new stuff...

Hello, Barricade, glad to see you here!
Let alone the unreleased projects - the most crucial question for me now is which figures will Schleich discontinue next year. Could you please share this info if you do have it?

Sorry that I have to remain that tight-lipped about the new stuff, but as it was
mentioned - annoying rules ... ... and believe me - it's really hard not to tell
anything with all the cool new stuff that will come in 2011 especially in the Elves
and Fantasy section - there will be some stuff you would've never expected to
see from Schleich ...

Sadly I also don't know wich Figures will be retired next year, but I will ask if
there is a list of *to be retired Figures* that I may share when I get to Schleich
again sometime soon, ok.

I would definitely explode if I was in your shoes Barricade Having to keep your mouth shut when everyone's speculating their heads off about next year. You have my sympathies.

By the way, the magic word combination "Schleich 2011" is doing its job very well - this thread has already turned over 2,000 views (in 39 days).
Its the second most viewed thread of the forum after the out-of-competition posts with our endearing portraits
What's interesting, the third most viewed thread also has that magic combination in its headline :)

I wonder if someone of our newest members have come to this forum after googling for "Schleich 2011". That was a common practice at Laughing Giraffe - many valuable members first stumbled upon the LG forum when googling for "Schleich 2010/2009/2008..."
