Here are the photos of the 2012 CollectA Giant Eland Model. I have pictured this alongside the Schleich Zebra and Ana's Eland sculpt. Enjoy. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

What a majestic and noble creature; CollectA's Giant Eland has been on my wish-list since I saw the first photos of him some months ago, and from these superb photos he's certainly no disappointment. Looking forward to him becoming available in the UK.

This model is a milestone for great new mass-produced animal models Of course it can never compete with Anas model, but, WOW! No collection will be complete without these news from Collecta, - so, CollectA, please hurry and send them to MPF

He is fantastic--and goes great with Ana's Eland. He is the perfect size with the herd animals...wonder why the waterbuck was made at such a larger scale?...not that I am complaining...

The Giant looks not bad, but the head is to short in comparsion to the horns, so altough I'm happy about new antelope species, I'm a little bit dissapointed.

Thanks for this note. However there are some antelope bulls that have larger horns than normal. Not every Eland bull has exactly the same horn length to face length ratio. There are many animals in the deer and antelope world that have larger horns and antlers due to genetics or other reasons. |
