Thanks for telling Martien! I still don't have the amebelodon not even the andrewsarchus, I am in doubt about them because I like but I can't collect everything. These 2 are not hard to find but I know when a Safari figure gets retired, after a short time, it is almost impossible to get. A good example is the aardvark that fortunately I have but the skunk no signs of it!

Gosh! It is a good thing I bought the Amebelodon and Andrewsarchus already!

I've emailed Safari with this question today. Let's see when they'll answer. Last year they sent me the list in November.

Cheer up: there are plenty of toy skunks in the toy market to replace it.

Yes, you are right, is not hard to find a good skunk, Mojo striped skunk is specially beautiful and we still have the Schleich and CollectA ones. Aardvarks are not so easy to find.

i also think that the adult black panther will go becuase the cub has gone but that safari they always reitre babys before adults

Here's a link to Safari's new 2013 catalog. You should be able to look up figures to see if they're retired or not. Also, the new figures for 2013 will appear at or near the beginning of the collection they belong to.

I'll see if I can also find a 2012 catalog online that I can send the link to.

Hope this is helpful. The catalog is 256 pages long, so it might take a bit to load. I have a DSL connection and it took about a minute before I saw more than a "blank" screen.

Although the Wings of the World Dodo bird appears in the 2013 catalog, I suspect it will be retired.

Also the old Buck, Doe and Fawn figures from North American Wildlife. The new Whitetail set has been out a while now and in my opinion looks much better!

And it's already no longer available from Safari for retailers to buy. So if you are wanting this figure, find it now!

My store has 3 left, but I'm sure if you look quickly there are other retailers who also still have some. I know for those of you not located in the USA that shipping is prohibitive. I would charge less for shipping if it cost me less!

I'm happy to look up other figures if any of you would like to know if they are discontinued and gone from Safari's inventory, or just discontinued but Safari has some stock left. That might help you decide which figures you need to get NOW versus ones you might be able to wait a bit to get.

I have the Jaguar, I was just curious and surprised not to see it in the catalog. Hopefully anyone who doesn't own it but was thinking of picking it up will act now and do so. I quite like that model (although not as much as the Schleich Jaguar).

A bit off topic but I know Roger that Nayab makes a few Aardvarks in a few different sizes and poses.I just purchased the set if 36 forest life from a German seller.Idk but Aardvarks remind me of my brother.It will be nice to own one.
