| Has been some time since the last input here. Seems we have gathered the information we had so far, but of course there are still gaps. P.e. I'd like to know the items of the Northern America set - I'm sure someone has all these or at least knows them? A picture would be great! But for now here is a photo of the seastars: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Talking about pics - does anybody has a picture of the tiger from the Asian set? I haven't seen one anywhere yet... |

I have the set, though I have a hard time remembering everything in it originally - I know for sure it had a Moose, beaver, Elk, Osprey (which was alo in birds of prey), large grizzly. Possibly a wolf two, as there were two variation of the wolf, a grey wolf and a arctic version. |

| Well I made a lucky catch - some items from Galapagos, that helped me sorting the species out, and so I am able to present a picture of the complete Galapagos set here! I nicked the picture of the Iguana, since this is the only animal from this set I don't have myself (yet). One thing I am not sure about is the ray. I have two alternatives, the Manta and the Eagle Ray. Both are from 1998, both occur in that region. I tend to the Eagle ray because it came to me with four other Galapagos animals (but the manta came to me with another Galapagos animal, the sally lightfoot crab). I have both on this picture and also list them alternatively in the first post. You can see the diffences in painting in the parrot fish (it has also a different location of the marking; the coral reef version is printed on the tail, the galapagos version - Bluechin parrot fish Scarus globban - is printed on the throat - 1998) and the tiger shark. The dark-bellied tiger shark version is marked 1998, showing it's the variation that belongs to this set. Maybe it is a local subspecies? Galapagos Sea Lion, Frigatebird, Galapagos Giant Turtle, Tiger Shark, Sally Lightfoot Crab, Bluechin Parrot Fish, Marine Iguana and Ray (either Manta or Eagle): [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here are pictures that show the different versions of parrotfish and shark: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here are the sea lion and the giant turtle (juste realized the picture is a bit blurry, I will post better ones if wished): [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And when looking for a marine lizard pic to complete the set picture, I found two different forms of Iguana (look at the tail). Are there indeed two different versions or is one of those wrong pictured in their catalogue (as it used to be with the schleich ferret)? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

Hello. I lived in SF for 14 years and the East and South Bays for 9 years. Now I reside in the Sierra foothills but often travel to SF. I've looked around many antique/second hand/thrift stores in both regions but have not been able to find any PV figurines. Have you had any luck in this regard? I've found Schleich and Breyer mostly... |

| My, THAT sounds exciting - maybe they fit the mysterious fish set with manta and the sawfish? Or are they hard core deep sea fish like those glowing angler fishes? (and many thanks Andreas, for sharing the pics, especially that awesome Forest Buffalo - indeed I never saw this one before ) Philipp I know exactly how you feel, same over here |
