Yes, he's the Schleich 2009 Simmental bull mid-customisation. Shouldn't be too long before I can show him in his finished state.

I shall get a move on, finishing him up, then. He's meant to get fitted with a handling halter, too, but my poor craftsmanship at leathercrafts is what has kept the model from going into paint already. If only I had tweezers for fingers..! Pictures shall be posted once I get him done.

Chris, that Britains gaur... what a beauty he is! I'm developing a new fondness for the species after having seen so many gorgeous models of it here.

The new Charolais from 2013

I think they are absolutely fantastic, and hope they will make a bull for next year , - and perhaps a heifer too ?

My, they are gorgeous. The cow's left front leg niggles me a bit, but it's fixable. Overall these may be the nicest modern toy cattle sculpts I've seen!

I, too, hope they do at least a bull as well.

I've just recieved the calf, l had ordered the Cow too but only after they sent it did they tell me it was't in stock yet!

Yes, the calf was available before the cow Wrong way round, you may say

Taos (or anyone): do you happen to know the brand of these cattle of yours, or these?

I appear to have come by the bull from the latter picture, you see, but don't know his make. He came with some cow friends, who read like an illustrated gradation to knobbly, formless madness:

Your bull is made by VEB Plaho (GDR)

Yeah i wasn't one for Ceramics, but did like these 2 very much :) the bull is like one breyer makes so i had to have him

Here are my cattle collection. I really missed the Swiss bull.    
In the future I will buy the Schleich: Swiss Bull, Longhorn family, (old)Fleckvieh young bull & Andalusian/Spanish (black) bull. CollectA: Reb zebu family, Safari Ltd. Charolais cow, Bullyland Zebu, Papo: Zebu, Charolais calf Simmental cow & bull.
