Walk arounds and prehistoric figures are very welcome! :) It is impressive the amount of ceratopsians we can find on CollectA range. I don't know if there is other brand giving us so many and some unusual creatures like that brand. Very Happy
Your pictures are great and we can admire the figure from all angles. Another great point is that this dinosaur was discovered recently and we can already have it in our collections. Thanks for your work and for giving your time to give us such an interesting topic. cheers

PostSubject: Therizinosaurus Walkaround   CollectA Dinosaur refrence guide EmptySat Jan 12, 2013 9:55 pm

Since People liked my Kosmoceratops thrad,  I guess i will do this for all of my Figures

Next up is the Thirzinosaurus.

As a added bonus. I guess i can include some Info on the dinosaurs i post

Basic Facts

Thirzinosaurus and its cousins are among the most bizare dinosaurs ever. Most people would look at it and laugh at how rediculus it looks. It looks like a popped body swan necked scisor fingerd abomination when compared to other dinosaurs like T-Rex and Triceratops.

Its most notable feature are three large blade like claws on its front limbs, these are defenetly capable of impailing other dinosaurs, but there actaully used for pulling down trees so it can strip them from there leaves.

PostSubject: Irritator Walkaround   CollectA Dinosaur refrence guide EmptySat Jan 12, 2013 10:34 pm

Basic Facts

No, that is not a nickname for the dinosaur, there really is a dinosar named Irritator. Irritator is a Spinosaur Genus that lived in south america during the early cretacius period. The reason it has such a unusul name is due to the fact that it has sufferd a terrible life on the black market were people tryied to reshaped its skull to resemble that of a Pterosaur.

When Scientist finally got ahold of the skull, they had to restore it to the shape that it really was causeing the scientists to become irritated and name the dinosaur Irritator.

Ah, I like this dino! I almost bought it! Very Happy
It is great to see your walk arounds and it is an excelent idea that you decided to add some information. Only a little suggestion. Give some time between them or some members will lost some of them. It is always funnier to know that tomorrow or in the next day we will see something new than see them together not having time to watch them all. Very Happy
Please keep posting, some "dinomization " is very well received. cheers alien Very Happy

I didn't know they tried to reshape the poor creature! Thanks for telling! That is quite irritating indeed. When there are many people working hardly to try to find the stages of life in your planet and some to get more mediatism or whatever it is, try to destroy something that is a cultural and scientific legacy. Very Happy
The figure is very interesting, I decided not to collect dinosaurs but I enjoy a lot to know about them and see the replicas from different brands. Hurray for CollectA dino diversity. Very Happy

I really love Therinozaurus and kins, those vegetarian theropods are really incredible beasts. I only have the small KAIYODO one now, I had the Big SAFARI ltd but I gave it to my nephew a few years ago.
The COLLECTA is on my too big wishlist and your pics confirm my thought about it. I like the details like the tongue in the open mouth and teh way it stand.

Could you share a pic with something known to show the size ?

That's what I love with COLLECTA, some models are fantastic, some are a bit odd but this company is very brave, their dino range is absolutely incredible and it seems it will be the same with their wildlife range too. It let me thought about the old STARLUX company. kids need to dream about something else than Trex and lions Laughing
thank you for the good pics Very Happy

PostSubject: Concavenator Walkaround   CollectA Dinosaur refrence guide EmptySun Jan 13, 2013 5:21 am

Last one for the day.

Concavenator

Basic Facts

Concavenator was a recently discoverd Theropod dinosaur that is best distingishd by a little hump on its back. It was found in Spain and lived during the early cretacius period.

Studys on some of its bones show that it was possibly featherd, though there are some scientists that doupt this claim.

Curiously the concavenator was discovered in the same year as kosmoceratops, I remember reading the news of both. The first because of the hump and the 2nd one because of the unusual number of horns. It was in 2010, not long time ago. Curious is that concavenator means Cuenca hunter, once it was found near Cuenca in Spain. In Portuguese it sounds like underpants hunter, a very suggestive name for a humped dino. Laughing
Thanks for your pictures, it is great to know that we don't have to wait a long time to see brands making replicas of prehistoric animals recently discovered. Very Happy

I appreciate the fact that COLLECTA is providing us with a lot of dino species but I must say I'm not very attracted by this one. Something odd for me in the head and neck...
nevertheless, thank you for showing it Very Happy
