| Hi all I have been spoiling myself a lot lately - and I still do So here comes a few more additions: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Safari 'Chestnut' I had no idea what these horses were when ordering them, but it said they were flocked and by Safari Ltd. And I was completely unable to find any information on them anywhere So I just ordered them ! I usually never do so, I research A LOT before ordering anything.. but I was too curious on these [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]There is even a fine little infocard on him. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I really yhink this is a very cute fellow. I think he might be a drafter, with the strong body and feathering on the legs. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Compared to Schleich drafter [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Then I also got the 'Palomino' [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Under her belly some faint letters say 'Hanoverian, 2001 Safari Ltd'. I just can't seem to find any information on these molds. Any of you know? I assume they are regular models who just got flocked On the other two I can't read the text under their bellies [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Comparison [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And then the 'Appaloosa' I did not take him out of the bag, because I am not sure I will keep him. But sweet he is nevertheless [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And the last one for now Breyer Traditional - Snowman, a 2013 release and he is the Idocus Mold [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I think he is SO gorgeous ! He is a really good sculpt I think, and he is so beautiful with the fleabitten coat and neat shades on the muzzle and those big dark eyes [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]His name in gold under his belly [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And here together with my also very new, Appaloosa Indian Pony I like very much their different personalities. Snowman is taller, and he looks so sophisticated and intelligent. A true nobleman. And the Appy looks more down to Earth and naiive and cute. They make nice counterparts [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I have now 3 Traditional Breyers But my wallet is starving by now, so it will be quite some time before new ones will join these three Stallions The only mare around is the Classic Haflinger, poor girl I think these guys need some proper lady company one day, who is big eneough to push them away, when necessary. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Thank you for looking _________________ ~ Portfolio & Online Comic ~

| Carola, these fluffy horses belong to a little series called Fuzzy Farm available only in 2006 and 2007, those were fuzzy versions of 12 regular farm animals that explains why you find Hanoverian marked in one of them once it is the original mould. Congratulations for finding all these wonderful horses and thanks for sharing! On Toy Animal Wiki you can find a page dedicated to Fuzzy Farm collection and also a gallery of old Safari farm horses. Here the catalogue page with all horses. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Subject: New Traditionals ;-) Tue Jun 17, 2014 3:23 pm | |
| Hi all I have some lovely additions to show! First is a parcel of Birds by NandO Thank you very much NandO for the gift, they are very sweet and really well done, I think I only asked for one little bird - and then I got ALL of these beauties (One is not on the photo though, because its tail was damaged on the trip, but will soon fix it!) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And then... - to my new Traditionals - Breyer SBH Phoenix This model is new for 2014, and on the Othello mold by Kathleen Moody. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I'm happy Breyer released a Drafter this year! He is one of the prettiest molds, I think. And also, I have the feeling that this mold is in general very popular. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I adore him! I love the grey mane, which makes him look like an elder, and the somewhat 'sad' pose and expression, like he is far away in melancholic thoughs. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Only bad thing about this guy is, that I think the masking around his markings could have been better and sharper. But I assume that may not apply to all models (mine was made in January 2014). Sure that is the game when ordering online. Other than that, his paintwork is really nice with the shading, as well as the mane and tail. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Then the lovely Clydesdale Mare and Foal (These are not portrait horses) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]These two are really cute models, and I really like the paintjob on these. These are old molds by Chris Hess. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I'm very happy now, to have a mare in my Traditional herd [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And the last one for now -- Percheron Kong ! Thank you very much LeeAnn/4U for helping me get in contact with a nice seller of this fantastic model, who I wanted so bad Now he is finally here all the way from USA! He was only 30 USD - New in Box - that was a REALLY good prize! Even shipping included he cost less than when I buy Traditionals normally! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]He is the Cedarfarm Vixom mold, who is originally a mare, but had been changed into a male for this model obviously [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I think maybe .. this is the best Traditional Draft/coldblood mold, IMHO (By the way, I think the Traditional line lacks drafters/coldblooded molds)[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And this model is MASSIVE The biggest horse I've ever had ! I've heard that Cleveland Bay mold is one of the biggest breyer models... I wonder how big compared to THIS![You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And the whole herd. The guys are sure very interested in making their move on the new lady! Being a single mom seems not to be a disadvantage. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And some indoor photos [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I think Kong and Phoenix suit eachother [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]- And with Snowman. The photo is a bit deceptive, as Snowman looks just as tall as Kong, but he really is quite smaller. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I love the Draft Traditionals They are tall and heavy (No doubt this is the same artist on these. I love how one can see the different artists in the molds.) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And here as well, both sculpts by Kathleen Moody. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Princess also gets a little soft in the knees when seeing this handsome guy [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Thank you for looking _________________ ~ Portfolio & Online Comic ~

| Huge congratulations Carola! I can tell how much you love them all with all of the photos you took I'm glad Kong arrived safely! And I'll tell you, the Cleveland Bay is even bigger than him! It looks you got a very nice example of Phoenix - many of them have candy-cane striped manes, and look very ugly but yours has very nice shading! And you are right, Othello/Wintersong is a very popular mold, probably one of the most popular Wixom is by far the best Breyer draft mold, he has the best conformation, except for the hind hoof is out a bit too far but I'm sure that's for stability reasons. The Stone standing drafter has better conformation, but I do like Wixom as well |

| It is nice you have Phoenix, I don't know if you know that he died recently He was supposed to come to BreyerFest, but he was injured badly and had to be put down. They are not bringing his filly to BreyerFest. |

| Thank you very much for your comments LeeAnn, Cheetahfan, Susanne, Álvaro, Andreas, Roger Ps. I write that Kong is the biggest horse I've ever had. That's not entirely true. As a kid I had a Barbie horse which was bigger - Animal_Figures_4U wrote:

I have not heard that Phoenix is gone Awr...noo.. I hate such things.. I'm happy he got a model of him! And his children will continue his legacy. ..... Cleveland Bay is BIGGER !?! WOW And then I'm happy to hear my Phoenix got good shading. There is no candy cane here _________________ ~ Portfolio & Online Comic ~
