Of course congratulation for your horses additions Carola... Fortunately, I missed a heart attack when I first look at this beautiful aviary, it is a fantastic set   You are very lucky and Nand0 is full of talent and imagination

Yes these birds are really beautiful and detailed   And I even got a 'paint it yourself' one

Thank you very much Jonas I'd highly recommend Breyers Even though they are considered expensive, I really feel like they are worth every penny   
I ofcourse also recommend doing some good research on the model you wish for, before buying it online. Many people are doing reviews on YouTube for example, some better than others, but they are mostly helpful.

Thank you Like I say to Jonas too, I'd recommend the Breyers very much   Maybe for some it can be nice to try out a Stablemate first, but to be honest, I say, just go for the Traditionals    They do take up a lot of space though

I got a NEW Breyer again     

It is...... the 2014 Mid-Year Release: Harley D Zip
He is the first Regular Run on the Latigo mold from 2013 by Sommer Prosser.

He comes with a Blue Ribbon, that tells he is a Champion

I know he is not a draft, but there was just something I found very attractive about this model

I do love the strength and muscular build of this Quarter Horse.

He has a very fine bay colour and very neat shading.

I like very much that he has the one white sock. Very cute detail (as the real horse he portrays).

Hi all   

Yet another big drafter has joined my Breyer herd - it is - Priefert's Radar  

He is a Limitied Edition from 2010 and is on the Roy the Belgian mold from 1989 sculpted by Francis Eustis , a guy who apparently was a big drafter enthusiast     

I've had an eye out for this mold, because I thought he looked to be a very good draft mold, but I believed he'd be difficult to find - and in new condition, as I prefer.
BUT THEN - I found Radar very close to me, - on German eBay, NEW IN BOX   So I bought him right away!

(I've also had my eye on the Trait du Nord on the Belgian mold by Chris Hess , as they have him on MPV... but no matter how much I try - I just really think there is something completely off on that mold. The colour on Trait du Nord is really great and I'd love a Brabanter, but the mold is just   )

Anyway - Here is Radar

I love his face and the details, especially round the muzzle, both the sculpting of wrinkles and the paintwork. He looks so sweet and kind.

And with Kong   Funny how Radar is a world record holder for certain years of being the largest horse - But his Breyer model is not the biggest

I love very much this model   He is a very 'rough' sculpture though, and in some ways he looks almost like a 'sketch' compared to other newer Breyer molds, that are very smooth and has a high level of clearly defined details.
The paintwork I think is very good and it suits this mold very well.

About Trait du Nord, I agree, there is something completely wrong, - the neck and head seem to be from a completely different horses .
I think it is because the neck is too much raised for this kind of original, heavy horse   

About the Belgian mold, collectors call him the bubble butt Belgian.
