I can't wait to get my pledge model ! - And for the whole range to be available for the public!
(Pledge models should arrive in March and general release I heard should be around july )

Well I cant wait to see yours! Do you have any idea how much those models will cost? I guess they've higher prices than Breyer and Stone? I just cant get over the Connemara

It was assumed they would be about the price of a RR Trad Breyer, but now... I don't know. . .

Ken Taylor there could be the first ISH I actually like! The dark bay and socks give it a nice, sharp look. The blue eyes aren't a minus either.. Strange to hear about his provenance with Stone, though.. although I suppose one shouldn't be surprised by anything with that company anymore. Still, a very handsome horse!

Thank you, Stardust    Gloss is indeed a question of taste, and it's not really adding to the realism of the models   And I also think it's difficult to photograph.

But it looks really great on some models, and especially for darker colours, I think. I have a white coloured Stone Arab who is glossed, and I think not that the gloss deos that much for him, but for Ken Taylor's type of colour, gloss really makes him shine  
And the gloss also seems to 'protect' the paintwork in a way.

Hi all

A strange couple arrived today

First is the STS - Figure of The Year 2014 ~ Papo snow Leopard I had to get this celebrity model!

This model is stunning! I'm very impressed with the paintjob, especially for a mass produced piece - it is outstanding!

And compared to other Papo big cats and Schleich

Then I got a new halter for my Vixom (Kong), custom made by Lea He looks even more badass now! (I altered a tiny bit of the halter, as the little chain in the bottom was not original to Lea's design. She had made a spinned wire, which was also really neat, but I thought the little chain would be more realistic, and now that I had it - )

And then I decided to get Don't Look Twice, a Breyer 2015 release. I wrote a detailed review and posted loads of photos of her RIGHT HERE on the Misty Star Studios Blog - that is LeeAnn's blog actually - but I throw in a word every now and then too

Carola, the STS figure of the year doesn't look a big thing in your first picture!
But, when we scrol and see it more and more, it starts revealing its qualities.
