It has been a while without not so many news in the collection - but today my Copperfox Model Horse arrived! He is the Buckskin Welsh Cob variant, a limited run of 150

I reviewed him HERE on the Misty Star Studios Blog with lots of photos.

But I'll post a few here too

Bestial! That's a fabulous figure and such an interesting collectible being only one among 150!
I haven't checked lately how this company is going. It seems things are not running as expected but judging from what I see here, it is a disaster if they don't succeed.

I really like the copperfox model..
The only thing i think is weird that the // appels// dappling .. (what ever its called correct)
I so much like a dalmation pattern ?
Very weird not blended little dots i quess.
But the way the model ''moves'' is really great

He got nice paintjob even thou the dapple get looks a bit funny to me. Are you willing to get more these horses?

Thank you    I hope the best for them. Harriet sculpted their Exmoor model. I hope to get one of those eventually!

Thank you   Yes, the dapples on these particular models have been up to a lot of debate. I think Copperfox will never ever make them that way again   They look like some of the old Schleich style dapples

Thank you I will definitily be getting many more Copperfox models in the future, when they get into general sale. They have a great quality feel to them, and the plastic seems great and sturdy, as well as it captures more details of the mold than for example Breyers seem to do. They are almost in a grey zone between CollectA/Schleich definition solid plastic and Breyer's very hollow style.
All they need now is to train their painters.

Wohoo, Harley! He's the loveliest of the models ever released on the Latigo mold, in my opinion. Do you plan on customizing him since you buy apoxie? (He is retired you know  )

I have not been very active lately, as lots of new things are happening in my life Nothing bad though.

I have a few new additions to my Breyer herd:

This is Simba - the 2015 Breyerfest Celebration model. I got him from LeeAnn

Now I have two models on the Roy mold . The other guy is Radar, a special run from Breyerfest 2010

Then I got the Marwari, who is recently retired.

And Haute Couture, who is a Breyerfest 2015 Special Run. I'm very happy to have this model, and I knew I had to have him from the first time I saw the promotional photo. He was quite expensive - possibly the most costly model in my whole collection

Some photos of them two together. They are the same mold, Marwari/Kalahkaari mold sculpted by Brigitte Eberl. But Haute Couture has a modified mane/tail and ears.

Congrats! How do you like Haute? Most of the people I talked to in person at Breyerfest didn't like him after seeing him in person, but he was still the first to sell out. Actually, he sold out before the surprise model, which almost never happens!

I love those heavy horses also, - those are truely wonderful additions

Congrats on your new additions Carola!  I'm sad to hear that the Marwari is being retired, he's my favourite Breyer in my small collection. I don't personally like the Breyer Fest special run (Haute Couture) as they removed everything I loved about the Marwari mold when they modified it Though I'm glad you like him!

I do like the shire mare from both Companies, but I have to agree that schleich makes more childlike figures the last few years. Well - one can hope they stop Again
