Oh Gosh, you got Haute Couture! Such a FABULOUS sculpture! <3 I'm well jealous lol! Although, I will be getting Jesse once they hit the stores in the States

Haute is special I can understand that not everyone liked him though. He is different. But I researched a lot of in hand photos before buying one, to be completely sure.

Thank you Julie, and thanks for your concern Radar is one of my faves, who is a portrait of a World Record winner for being the tallest horse, I think. The model however is not the tallest of Breyer drafts

Oh well, an odd couple arrived in my mailbox yesterday, and here they are

The CollectA Deluxe 2015 Mustang Stallion light palomino colour variant and Breyer Classic Cosette Both bought from MPV.

Beautiful Cosette She is a BreyerHorses 2014 web exclusive, which means she can only be ordered directly from Breyer. MPV however bought a bunch and sold them further, which is really great, so I'd go free of the customs and extra wait time

I don't have many Classic Breyers, but this little elegant girl I just needed. She was sculpted by Maureen Love in 1973 . The molds by M. Love were retired for some reason, years back - something about Breyer losing the license - but now they've appeared a couple of times as specials.... wonder how!?

She is obviously an Arabian cross of some kind, since Arabians are not pinto.

Perhaps Breyer got a special license to produce X-number total on the moulds over a certain time period?

That's not a draft horse!

Breyer lost the rights to the mold against Hagen-Renaker, as the molds are actually belonging to HR. Recently Breyer was able to secure the rights for lower runs, so although we won't be seeing Love RRs any time soon at least we might see some SRs.

Anyway, congrats on the new model I love my Cosette, you need the stallion and foal to go with her now.

Maybe Cosette got her pinto color from a Gypsy Vanner far out in her family - which means she can count as a little bit draft But the mustang I have no explanation for... Other than they are in love, and I can't seperate them.

Thanks a lot for explaining I'm very happy to add Maureen Love to my 'collection' of artists. And happy that we may see her works just a little bit nowadays.

Oh yes, the Stallion and Foal set is really cute I saw yours, really neat molds too But that'll be a challenge for the Mustang then

Yes Harley is fabulous. But you know what. I sold him yes I just don't get the feeling  "that's the one" you know. Basically I bought him based on other peoples opinions. Then I stared thinking do I really wanna start with the Breyer thing again. I mean I see you're totally gone by now there's no way back

I bought mine for $55 at BF Just wait, the prices will eventually settle back down to the $60-$70 mark.
