Schleich 2011: At last !

Just returned from Schleich and have the new catalogue in hand, but unfortunately the
answer to my question if they'd allow me to scan the pics and show them to you was a
definitive and clear *NO*! I was told that no Pics may be shown before their own Site
is updated with those pics. I'm really sorry for the bad news, but on the other hand it's
not a that long wait anymore. Most likely big Stores will have the pics of the new stuff
up first before even Schleich has updated their site, so just keep your eyes open.
Sorry that I couldn't be of any real help at all in this case.

Hi Barricade,

at least can you tell us if there are any other animals (Wildlife, farmlife, forestlife and sealife) for next year. As far as I remember no one mentioned sealife or farmlife animals so that would be great to know, at least by name.

I'm really sorry that I could't do more, but I think what I can already tell you is that
there is a lot of really neat new stuff on the way - especially the new Fantasy figures
are really cool (I know most of you aren't interested in those anyway - but I think
that some of those maybe will be of GREAT Interest for you anyhow). The other thing
that I think I can tell you is that there are no new *Sealife* and *Dinosaur* Figures as
far as I have seen. Be patient - won't be long anymore until Pics will be available.

Hi there

I have already distributed the pictures of the 2011 farm, forest and wildlife. Most users on here will have it already but the document I was sent from Schleich was created back in September and didnt include the Wolverine. Can you confirm if there are any new trees/plants? and in total how many new wildlife/forest animals there are?

I wonder if the missing wildlife numbers could include the black panther? The panther in the noctis set must have its own serial number I am sure or perhaps they have chosen one for it from the missing numbers in the new models...? just a thought.

It is scaled to fit the line of new human Hero Figures, and it is friggin huge ...

can I ask you how many animals will Schleich introduce in 2011? We know january list but... is that all?

I have just learnt the following this morning folks.

The King penguin adult and pegasus foal which have only come out in 2010 are on their way out! I didn't realise this before. No doubt highly collectable future models for sure so grab them while you can and stick them at the back of your cupboards for a few years. they will no doubt increase in value over the next4-5 years I am sure of it.

The wolverine was a last minute additional new model and was not originally intended for release hence was not on the original PDF document generated by Schleich in May. I have the full new document with the bar codes and colour coded dots for each wild and farm animal.

Lastly I have been told that Schleich have still yet to finalise their line-up for other ranges including plants and trees and so my source is unable to get hold of a list of 2011 trees and plants.

Schleich seem to be working to tight last minute deadlines. I wonder if they design lots of models and then decide which ones to release mass market at the last moment which seems to be happening this year. Very unusual but interesting.

In addition to the above everyone note that Schleich has some sort of production delay on all its plants and trees and there are many orders waiting from various Schleich sellers. However given that the Saquaro and Baobab are both being retired it is unlikely that new stocks of plants will include the above two. This means that if you are planning on buying them get them NOW because once stocks are gone then they are gone. Trees are purchases in fewer quantities generally because of their costs and are produced by Schleich in fewer quantities than their animals.

In the UK almost ALL online sellers have sold out and it is really hard to find in the UK unless you phone all the shops. Many websites that show it as being in stock dont have the Baobab and havent updated the webpages. I have spent ALL week looking for the Baobab and found one seller after with their last one so I am glad. I was annoyed at having put in an order with another seller thinking they had it in stock then discovering that it was not in stock. UK stocks are practically finished but it can still be brought from abroad so really my recommendation on the Baobab is for UK collectors.

Lastly some of the models such as the stag are being replaced by a newer models but in May it means it will still be available until around then anyway. I got all this info from talking to various sellers during my hunt for the Baobab and of course another source that got me some of the documents and told me about Schleich's plan to release items for 2011 that have yet to be finalised!

So strange that the Pegasus Foal and Penguin are going after a year. It reminds me of several years back when the Oryx and peacock were only made for 2 years each.

I have obtained a new PDF document which Schleich has produced for retailers outlining all the new farm and wildlife models AND the smurfs set. This document include the barcode number, colour code guides and a brief discussion of each group of animals and the reasons why they have made certain models and hints on the new catalogue scenery packs ie a scratching post for the cats and a new hutch and rabbit set etc. It is in interesting document but again this has been sent out by Schleich confirming those models that are definitely coming out. The rest has yet to be decided by them.

If you want this document then please let me know your emails. I also have the finalised list of retired models with pictures in a PDF which includes the penguin, pegasus foal and some smurf models.
