Thanks, Jonas! Yes, Kaiyodo has a great variety of birds. I have not found any of them locally, so yes, I have bought many on Ebay. I try to wait for US sellers or others with reasonable prices. I have splurged a bit for a few figures before, but I reeeaaally wanted them. Also, Brett has ordered several figures for me, including the owl set, black woodpecker, and serow. Some of these have been listed for outrageous prices on ebay, so I am grateful for Brett's help! - arafan wrote:

The friegatebird looks also very nice. Hmm... Well, I am not informed on the subject, but Wikipedia says this species is "black to whitish, and colouring lightens in summer." Grey may be a more common overall appearance, but perhaps there could be other variations. I don't know. What do you think of the new Kitan Club serow? Nature of Japan is a great series, and I hope they continue to release wildlife figures. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]I like this frigatebird a lot! I hope to see some in the wild soon. |

What a nice thing to do! We're lucky having such members as him and Simone, who always helps so many here to get some special models. Maybe these Asian brands will realize they'd have quite nice chance to enlarge their turnover by starting selling in EU and US. For example we got agreement for one hardware store chain here, that they can start selling Breyer all over the country. Sounds silly for Americans but that's new thing for Finns _________________ Jonas Animals are my friends. I don't eat my friends. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |
