I love these little birds. We call them "fuglekonger" - king-birds They are so little and shy, I rarely see them, but sometimes when I walk in a dense part of the forest, I can hear them like lots of tiny, little bells above my head
This model is adorable, CONGRATULATIONS Thanks for sharing, Susanne. Wow fantastic imagery! I got wonderful visuals reading that. Little bells…that's precious. I wish I could go birdwatching more often. - jarda wrote:

| I've changed my mind and decided to post my additions in one place from now on. I hope you don't mind. This is my first Kitan Club figure, and what a treasure! Kitan Club Common Kingfisher ( Alcedo atthis) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I received another Kaiyodo bird! It's sort of a funny figure, but I think it showcases the charismatic persona of these owls. The details are better when seen in person, since these birds are fairly tiny, but this photo will suffice. Kaiyodo Birdtales Brown Hawk Owl ( Ninox scutulata) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Congratulation Could you make a walkaround of this kingfisher in the Kitan club subcategory ? - SpiralStrix wrote:

It is an excellent idea to have only one additions topic by member I encourage other members to do the same |

| Kayla, I like best when someone shows all additions in a single topic. Unless it is a walk around, a first presentation or a discussion thread. If you want, I merge all your addition topics in this one. These are two wonderful figures for a birds collector, thanks for showing so nicely. |

| Of course I will, Andreas. I have more arrivals already, but I still need to take some pictures. I can definitely try to do a walk-around of the kingfisher, Christophe. I'll try my best anyway...I am no photographer. Oh, that makes sense, Rogério. I wasn't sure where was most appropriate to post. I get it now. Yes, it would be great if you could merge them here! I think I only had 3 other threads. The Safari, Schleich, and Kaiyodo additions. |

| Everything is already merged in this topic. It looks an aviary! You can keep using this one to show all your figures. Of course the walk around it is better to open on its correct section as Christophe said. |

| Hello, everyone! I have more newcomers to update you on. I am a little behind posting them all, but I'll try to catch up in the next few days. First, I have something rather different to show you. It is the start of my antelope collection! I mentioned before that I would be collecting antelopes in addition to birds. Birds are my main focus, but I had been hypnotized by the many gorgeous antelope figures. When I saw the 2014 Mountain Nyala prototype pictures, it was the last straw, and I decided to collect them. I like the quality and variety of antelope figures available from different brands. They are popular in the forums too, which makes it more fun. I may take better pictures later, but here's a peak: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]It was exciting holding each of these for the first time. They are marvelous works of art! The Schleich figures are how I imagined them to be, and I am content with them. I was pleasantly surprised by the feel of the Mojo figures. Really nice quality! I am happy to have the pronghorn and sable as my first Mojos. The Safari oryx is much better in person. I already liked it from the photos I'd seen, but I was blown away in reality. The paint and textures were more detailed than expected. The Lesser Kudu is an example of what I anticipated Safari antelopes to be like. However, I do like this kudu a lot. I was especially excited to receive my first CollectA figures. The paintwork is superb. The waterbuck has very nice coloring, and how can you not love that little blackbuck? The waterbuck does have a bent horn, but that seems to be common with this figure. Hmm, I don't have a Papo antelope yet…maybe next time. Oh, I did get the barn owl though! *I know a pronghorn is not quite an antelope, but it's a nice representative from my homeland. I'm not too strict. I even saw a few pronghorn herds this weekend. * |

| Kayla, a collection organized like that looks always wonderful! I don't want to say that larger and messy collections are not great but everything looks wonderfully logical like that. To support your choices, the only antelope I don't have from these is the only that you correctly say it is not an antelope. I do have the Safari pronghorn instead but I'll get the Mojo version either. Papo doesn't have many antelopes, only an oryx and a greater kudu. They are larger than those from otehr brands and maybe that is not the strongest point of the brand, though, kudu is very charming! |

| Bryan, I think any of these would be fantastic for your collection! If you have/get any, I'd love to see. Thanks again, Rogério! Yes, it is easier to organize collections while they're small. It will get cluttered pretty quickly, though...if I keep going at this rate. Then, I'll need a plan! Maybe something to use up some of that vertical space. I keep forgetting that Safari also has a pronghorn. I love the Mojo one, but the Safari has more accurate facial markings. Ah, the size difference of Papo antelopes could deter me from getting them. However, I do really want a gemsbok in my collection, so I might give in. I like the look of the kudu a lot, but I don't know how I feel about it towering over my other kudus. |
