| I live in Northern Virignia, within the United States. I'm about an hour or so from Washington DC.
Safari Ltd: Michael's, A.C.Moore Schleich: Walmart (Limited Selection),Toys R Us (Larger Selection), Tractor Supply Co (Larger Selection) Mojo Fun: Have to go about an hour or so to get to a Hobby Lobby store, none in local area. Papo: Fantasy Line Only, nothing else- A.C.Moore, Toys R US Collect A: None Bullyland: None Terra/Battat: Target No-Name/China: Walmart,Target,Toys R US,Michael's,Dollar Tree
Safari Ltd. is the most common in my are as there are two different Micheal's stores right near by. Not all Walmarts near me carry Schleich. For some reason the Walgreen's near me carries one type of Schleich foal but absolutely nothing else? |

| I was looking at the CollectAs (again) here and thinking on the Papo figure I want, and got to wondering what brands we can find new easily where we live?
Where I live, there are lots of Safari and Schleich dealers (Toys R Us, Walmart, Michaels, JoAnns, Hobby Lobby, Rural King, Tractor Supply and the few rare independents) and one Mojo Fun (Hobby Lobby) for the bigger brands, Battat/Terra (Targets), Breyers (various equine/livestock supply), some Chap Mei (Toys R Us) and Yowies (Walmart, Walgreens, JoAnns and various mostly grocers). I'm an hour or less from SeaWorld, and while I can't afford to go to the theme parks their figures can often be found secondhand locally. Oh, and during the holidays Tractor Supply and Rural King have New Ray manufactured playsets.
Edit to say Hobby Lobby has some Wild Republic stuff.
What about you?

I don't know a lot about them, but they can often be found at the flea markets that sell secondhand goods (many around here sell only cheap new stuff, sort of big dollar stores in bazaar form) and at thrift stores that deign to sell toys. Pretty much all that I've seen has been sea turtles and not quite as many sharks; I do have a manatee and I *think* I've seen a few cetaceans which would make sense. I'll ask my teenage daughter if any of her friends work there. Try to get some inside knowledge. Edit she says no |

| Shawinigan, Québec. No specialized toy store. Toys here are found in: Dollarama, Hart, Cadeaux Chez Guy, Walmart. Formerly: Folie Du Dollar (no longer exists). Brands: - Made in China - Hasbro - Mattel - Playmobil - Schleich - Papo More toys are found in Flea Markets. Brands I find in flea markets (goes up and down): - Toy Major - Imperial - NF (I presume it's NeoForm) - AAA - Disney - McDonalds - Dor Mei - Hasbro - Mattel
As you can see, finding Something interesting in my region is quite an event.

| I was very happy to find some Papo figures at a Hobbytown USA yesterday. The selection was sparse, but I was happy nonetheless because it is very difficult to find Papo at all in my area now that Hobby Lobby stopped carrying them. I also did a little happy dance when I read in the newspaper that my town will be getting a Hobby Lobby next year. The next closest one is in a town 50 miles away. _________________ Jessica Schleich | Safari Ltd. | CollectA | Papo | Mojö Fun | Bullyland | Yowie | Little Critterz | Breyer | et al...

| Where I live, Schleich is very common in numerous stores. Hobby Lobby (35 minutes away) has some Mojo figures. The Denver Zoo (an hour away) has Safari Ltd. Everything else I order online. I can't get new Bullyland animals anywhere in the United States-----I always have to order from overseas, usually Germany. I can get all the brands online, although shipping costs can be prohibitive. Free Shipping is never actually free-----the animal just costs more to cover the shipping. |

| For me in Germany /Hamburg I can find the entire range of Schleich (except the special runs available in other countries of course). Some Bullyland, and some Papo, not much. And some cheap china toys. In earlier days 2-3 shops downtown carried some Breyers and Britiains but thats a long time ago. Most of the other brands I have to find online. |

| Actually, shipping costs frequently stop me from ordering something. Availability is one thing, but shipping determines whether I buy an animal model or not. |

| Any other Finns online here? Do you know if Korkeasaari Zoo's (Helsinki) souvenir shop is selling any animal figurines? I'll visit the zoo later in spring.
EDIT. Ok, I looked the zoo's webpages, and yes, they are selling Schleich figurines. Blah. Always Schleich! It's quite hard to find other nice brands here in Helsinki. The zoo's souvenir shop is closed in wintertime. |
