Of course the U-Ei figurines do not have the highest quality, but the models are nice sometimes.
So many people do collect them, and the eggs to, as they seem to change a lot in colour and shape.
anyway, i thought those 2 meercats were cute, and i liked the lynx, even when he was in parts... Laughing

Yes, but i dont know any Ü-Ei- Figurines for me, but i like your Albert Heijn animals. Very Happy

Well Rogerio, you know i won't forget you from time to time... Very Happy

Yes, i must admitt, that i like those AH figurines very much to.
they have a nice quality to, and the most are quit accurate to see.
I stumbled by accident on them on a market-site here in the Netherlands.
I never saw these when they appeared in the supermarket, or i never even knew that this supermarket had this action to give them away with your groceries.
Just a short time ago, they had animal-pictures, which were given away with your groceries, that i know... Rolling Eyes

PostSubject: Whales, fishes and more came in for September 2011...   Sat Sep 03, 2011 1:50 am

As this lot contained 3 different of the modern brands, i had to put the pics of this lot here:

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
The whole lot...

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
16082 Schleich Grey Whale

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
16087 Schleich Minke Whale

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Safari Monterey Bay Collection Grey Whale with the smaller Schleich model

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
210102 Safari Monterey Bay Collection Grey Whalecalf.
The same model was made for Schleich in the early 1990's to, Safari still produces it.
Same for the next model.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
210502 Safari Monterey Bay Collection Humpbackwhalecalf

Here are they both with their mothers i already had:

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
67401 Bullyland Whaleshark

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
67404 Bullyland Spermwhale

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
67405 Bullyland Orca

I had the orca and spermwhale already, but these were slightly better in shape.
The spare orca is good enough for the trade or sale, so who is interested can PM me.
The spermwhale and another Bullyland dolphin are good enough to make a little neighbourboy happy... Laughing

After all, expensive lot?, of course not!
You know me, the both big Schleichs, the 2 Safari MBC babywhales and the 3 old Bullylands together, just 9,99 euro! cheers

Wow nice Willy! The MBA whale calfs are actually discontinued since 2009 or 2008. You should try to get the MBA Adult Sperm whale too as its been retired as well and the sperm whale calf (the sculpt is beautiful).

I need to finish the Schleich whales as well, luckily I already have the adult grey whale, adult sperm whale, minke whale, and adult orca.

OH, that's incredible how much you pay for a sea life collection! These whales in shops are horribly expensive and hard to collect! Lucky you that are an expert finding low prices!
Congratulations for your whales and I hope you have space enough for them in your house! Maybe an Ocean room!
Lucky your little neigbor living near you! But be careful, very soon you will have a complete kindergarden knocking on your door! affraid

Thank you Rogerio and Andreas!
Yes, that was a real bargon indeed, although the shipment costs did add to it, but they were 8,90 euro, so even then this lot was very cheap! Wink
Only the Schleich grey whale is sold here for 17 euro at its cheapest, and i paid not even 19 euro's for the whole lot together.
I keep the son of my friend happy, but i will keep of all of the other buggers Rogerio, don't worry, haha. Twisted Evil

I do have to agree with you on the last part, I do love Schleich's whales (cute and all) but Safari Ltd's is a lot more realistic, it reminds me of real whales and those large scale models you see at museums and aquariums. I remember on the LG forum someone said they liked a lot better Schleich's tiger shark because its more realistic and you said it was ugly, lol that made me laugh.

I do have to say Schleich's Minke whale is a lot more realistic looking one out the of the Schleich bunch. But the Schleich whales have character. I can't believe the calfs have been retired. I have to say Schleich's recent great white shark is awesome and real looking!

Thanks Ana, K, and Sergey!
Well, the Schleich whales are not bad, and besides the Minke whale, the northern right whale is not bad either, only to bad it is in the smaller marine series...
But the quality of the Safari MBC is awesome.
They are better in scale, and when you have an adult in your fingers, you know what i mean, big and heavy, and full of detail! cheers
Yes, the story with that Schleich tigershark was funny, of course it is ugly, why lie about it?
It looks very toyish, and not realistic at all! Laughing
On which forum that was again...? Haha geek

PostSubject: A Lot with different fish came in for September 2011...   Thu Sep 08, 2011 12:56 am

I found another lot, this time with fish, made in China, so the quality is not so good obvious, and the species are hard to determinate...
There were 11 animals in the set, including 2 the same.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
The complete lot.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Blue and black koi, i believe it was ment to be...

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Because it was there in yellow to...

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Deepsea fish, can anybody tell me which species this should be?

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I think, this was ment to be a jumping trout.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
At least, this one is clear, a Mahi-Mahi, or goldmackerel.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I am pretty sure this is a goldfish.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Another unknown tropical corall/seafish for me... Rolling Eyes

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I know very well, that this is a common treshershark.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Two nice seahorses.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
And a reasonable Powder Blue Tang, or PB Surgeonfish.

No high quality here, but finally some more fish in the collection.

Thanks Susanne, Mihnea and Andreas! Very Happy
I had this fishmodel that you mean before in my youth Mihnea, but it was greyish black and white as far as i can remember.
You are asking me to trade it, and just when it came in, me as a fishman?
When i find a double one, i am happy to give it to you, but not now, as it is my only one, sorry... Wink
I am wondering if this is a deepsea fish, or a pre-historic one, i really don't know, it could be both... Laughing Rolling Eyes

Like Nina I just LOVE this kind of link, with different brands and models, - thanks, Willy, and congratulations with your finds that fit so well in your interesting collection.
I just LOVE that Uintatherium, - and the green goldfish Shocked Laughing

Nina, your stegosaurusses are wonderful. They make me think of my little theory that perhaps the chinese dragons stem from somebody in china having found fossiles and thinking they were bones from a real creature scratch

Thank you guys! Very Happy
Well Nina, your lions are all copies of the vintage Britains model to, only bigger, from which i have a lot to.
Between them, is one of my oldest animal figurines ever.
The original Britains model has its right paw upwards, same as in some copies.
Later on, some manufacturers made the same model with all the paws down, as it would stand better.
The 2 i showed here, are smaller 1:64 scaled copies.

Your Stegosaurus is the same model as mine, but it is possible, that they are copies to, because some USA companies made copies of the original Marx models, even mine could is a copy, but made by JA-RU USA... Rolling Eyes

The wild boar and brown bear are made bu the VEB Plaho company from the former DDR.
This company was Marolin before WW2, and Marolin bought the Lineol company in the far past(early 1900's), so a lot of the Lineol moulds were used for the Marolin/VEB Plaho models.
After the fall of the wall, Marolin started up again, and the state companies like VEB Plaho were gone of course... Rolling Eyes

PostSubject: Colorata and Starlux Lot came in for October 2011...   Fri Oct 28, 2011 5:21 am

I bought a few Starlux lots in E-Bay France from time to time, and when the sellers are making troubles about the sending to other countries then France i tell them, that they can send the package to France, ...Tourcoing! cheers
I could never do this without my big friend Christoph(Kikimalou), because he is living there, and most importantly in France!
He is willing to take my packages, and even sending them to me in the Netherlands!
Next to that, he always sended me some special items which i probably need for my collection...
Besides the 6 fantastic Starlux items he saved for me, he gave me 8 of the fantastic Colorata Marine Life Mammals box, so he kept the last 4 of them for his own collection, which is normal i think, i am very happy with every animal i get on this particular scale and this brand! cheers Very Happy king

Thank you all Guys!
Specially Christophe of course for his wonderfull gifts! cheers
No Andreas, i don't need them twice of course, i couldn't know this of course, i hope you don't mind... Laughing
Two groups of favourite animals are dolphins/ceateceans and apes, so Christophe hit me there, and the wonderfull Colorata models will hit me always anyway, because the quality is so nice.

I didn't go on the forum to much the last weeks, i am to busy with my tropical fishbusiness at home, with more than 40 fishtanks, it is really getting busy to keep everything clean and tidy... Shocked
I do this with a good friend of mine, who is happingly living in the same appartment-block, and we are still expanding, and everything we make in money is still invested, but slowly we are coming through... cheers
But the work stays, it is at least 3 days work for about 4-6 hours to keep everything in order, and in between the costumers come to, so busy busy busy...
Since i don't have work, i can spend my time well spend right now... Wink
I did send the thnak you mail to Christophe today, but i don't even know if i did it already before, my head runs through, haha. Laughing

I'm glad the seal arrived safe! ! When this orca is not angrily hungry it is hungrily angry! Evil or Very Mad affraid
They look much more happy in the Netherlands, maybe because they are under the sea level! geek Seriously, they are shining of happiness! Very Happy sunny Wink

Thanks Smithy, Harriet, Susanne, Ken and Rogerio! Very Happy
I am sure they are happy here, same for the owner! cheers
I did brush up the orca Rogerio, because when i removed the tag from the orca, the glue sticked very much on it, so i had some work there, but most is gone now, and i didn't wanted to brush of the paint of course... Laughing
