| Thanks Ana, K, and Sergey! Well, the Schleich whales are not bad, and besides the Minke whale, the northern right whale is not bad either, only to bad it is in the smaller marine series... But the quality of the Safari MBC is awesome. They are better in scale, and when you have an adult in your fingers, you know what i mean, big and heavy, and full of detail! Yes, the story with that Schleich tigershark was funny, of course it is ugly, why lie about it? It looks very toyish, and not realistic at all! On which forum that was again...? Haha |

| Subject: A Lot with different fish came in for September 2011... Thu Sep 08, 2011 12:56 am | |
| I found another lot, this time with fish, made in China, so the quality is not so good obvious, and the species are hard to determinate... There were 11 animals in the set, including 2 the same. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The complete lot. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Blue and black koi, i believe it was ment to be... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Because it was there in yellow to... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Deepsea fish, can anybody tell me which species this should be? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I think, this was ment to be a jumping trout. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]At least, this one is clear, a Mahi-Mahi, or goldmackerel. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I am pretty sure this is a goldfish. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Another unknown tropical corall/seafish for me... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I know very well, that this is a common treshershark. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Two nice seahorses. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And a reasonable Powder Blue Tang, or PB Surgeonfish. No high quality here, but finally some more fish in the collection. |

| Again we see some species that others don`t make, in these humble Chinese figueres, -that gold macrel is great. The green fish are surely meant to be something specific, I wonder what Congratulations |

| Thanks Susanne, Mihnea and Andreas! I had this fishmodel that you mean before in my youth Mihnea, but it was greyish black and white as far as i can remember. You are asking me to trade it, and just when it came in, me as a fishman? When i find a double one, i am happy to give it to you, but not now, as it is my only one, sorry... I am wondering if this is a deepsea fish, or a pre-historic one, i really don't know, it could be both... |

The brand Ja-Ru is made in the USA, making originals and copies of other USA brands mainly, producing in the 1950's and 1960's. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]JA-RU Uintatherium, a pre-historic rhino ancestor is believed so far. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]A China made goldfish, mad ein green... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]...which i found recently in yellow to. The next part will be interesting for our forum-croc... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Hong Kong made brown croc... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]...which was my 5th variation on this model. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This Hong Kong model was my 3rd variation on this model. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]These 2 little Britains copies were in the lot to, but i had these variations already. | Like Nina I just LOVE this kind of link, with different brands and models, - thanks, Willy, and congratulations with your finds that fit so well in your interesting collection. I just LOVE that Uintatherium, - and the green goldfish Nina, your stegosaurusses are wonderful. They make me think of my little theory that perhaps the chinese dragons stem from somebody in china having found fossiles and thinking they were bones from a real creature |

| Thank you guys! Well Nina, your lions are all copies of the vintage Britains model to, only bigger, from which i have a lot to. Between them, is one of my oldest animal figurines ever. The original Britains model has its right paw upwards, same as in some copies. Later on, some manufacturers made the same model with all the paws down, as it would stand better. The 2 i showed here, are smaller 1:64 scaled copies. Your Stegosaurus is the same model as mine, but it is possible, that they are copies to, because some USA companies made copies of the original Marx models, even mine could is a copy, but made by JA-RU USA... The wild boar and brown bear are made bu the VEB Plaho company from the former DDR. This company was Marolin before WW2, and Marolin bought the Lineol company in the far past(early 1900's), so a lot of the Lineol moulds were used for the Marolin/VEB Plaho models. After the fall of the wall, Marolin started up again, and the state companies like VEB Plaho were gone of course... |

| Subject: Colorata and Starlux Lot came in for October 2011... Fri Oct 28, 2011 5:21 am | |
| I bought a few Starlux lots in E-Bay France from time to time, and when the sellers are making troubles about the sending to other countries then France i tell them, that they can send the package to France, ...Tourcoing! I could never do this without my big friend Christoph(Kikimalou), because he is living there, and most importantly in France! He is willing to take my packages, and even sending them to me in the Netherlands! Next to that, he always sended me some special items which i probably need for my collection... Besides the 6 fantastic Starlux items he saved for me, he gave me 8 of the fantastic Colorata Marine Life Mammals box, so he kept the last 4 of them for his own collection, which is normal i think, i am very happy with every animal i get on this particular scale and this brand! These are the both brands: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]1733 Starlux Reindeer [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]1776 Bottlenose Dolphin [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]1801 Starlux Striped Hyena [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]PH!! | Thank you all Guys! Specially Christophe of course for his wonderfull gifts! No Andreas, i don't need them twice of course, i couldn't know this of course, i hope you don't mind... Two groups of favourite animals are dolphins/ceateceans and apes, so Christophe hit me there, and the wonderfull Colorata models will hit me always anyway, because the quality is so nice. I didn't go on the forum to much the last weeks, i am to busy with my tropical fishbusiness at home, with more than 40 fishtanks, it is really getting busy to keep everything clean and tidy... I do this with a good friend of mine, who is happingly living in the same appartment-block, and we are still expanding, and everything we make in money is still invested, but slowly we are coming through... But the work stays, it is at least 3 days work for about 4-6 hours to keep everything in order, and in between the costumers come to, so busy busy busy... Since i don't have work, i can spend my time well spend right now... I did send the thnak you mail to Christophe today, but i don't even know if i did it already before, my head runs through, haha. |
