NEW BRAND Coming Soon!!

We've been working hard around the clock over the last year to develop and launch an entirely new brand of collectable animal figurines. We're now very close to making that dream a reality  

I really wanted to make this announcement here because the 'homemade models' section of STS is where I first discovered this amazing community of collectors and sculptors, plus.. all the original sculpts have been literally homemade!

The models are being mass produced and are equivalent in materials, price and quality to the other well known figurine brands. For today I'm super excited to reveal our logo below - and to direct you to our Facebook page.. Southlands Replicas

We will be gradually revealing images of our first batch of figurines over the coming weeks as we build towards the official launch.

There will be some species never before modeled as well as some fresh takes and new poses of better known figures

Thanks! - Yes they'll be available through MiniZoo of course and over time we hope to wholesale them into other figurine stores. I hope everyone will be pleasantly surprised with our figurine selection and fresh approach!

I think that it's a good thing for collectors when a new brand is launched.
There are many endemic species in Australia, and some of them are in danger of extinction.
I don't know if you want to produce as Collecta animal replicas of endangered species, or especially
animal replicas of Australia's (so amazing) wildlife ?
Will your brand be different ?

Southlands Replicas will have a focus on quality, realism, collectability and educational play value. As our name implies we are concentrating on reproducing the wonderful & fascinating animal species (both extinct and extant) from lands and waters around & largely south of the equator.

Expanding further, we believe our figures will be the most true to life depictions of Australian Wildlife available with a lot of emphasis on unique features. We're also paying close attention to scale. The majority of figures will be 1:15 scale (as 1:20 or 1:22 is too small for many of the animals we are bringing to you). Some of the very small animals will be 1:12 or less. The main thing is that you will be able to create a diorama with all animals in relative scale.

Some of the species are completely unique to the brand (to the best of our knowledge). We are also bringing you interesting sub-species and some poses that have definitely never been produced in this format before.

While we're starting with Australian animals we have plans for much more than that..  

A little bit about our image..
Our logo incorporates the natural colours associated with waterways, grasslands, deserts, woodlands & rainforests found under the Southern Cross star system and also pays tribute to the ancient cultures that inhabited and cared for the lands.

Our motto ‘nature at play’ summarises the value that these toys will have in educating our young people on the importance of understanding and preserving the animal kingdom.
