The Schleich giant anteater no 14844 of 2021 :-D

Already we have seen several pictures of this year's new anteater, but as far as I can find, no walkaround ?
Anyway, as they say "A good thing can't be done too often "  

I suppose nobody need an introduction to this weird, charming looking animal, so I will just say : They don't bite, but they have two hands full of daggers, so never try to corner one

As you will know, they can be various shades of grey and brown, mixed with white hairs,
but I almost got a chock when I saw this picture in wikipedia!
To me it looks like it's left front leg is exactly like the head of a Panda

Such a WONDERFUL walkaround of this model, I'm so glad that Schleich is still bringing out fantastic models like this Anteater!
I loved the group photo, and all the excellent details with your perfectly clear photos!
The Kaiyodo one made me laugh so much, what an unusual model! And I see what you mean about the first photo- looks just like a panda!
I love this anteater, thank you so much for sharing it! In a way they are like a Rough Collie- small eyes and long noses, but still so beautiful!

Wonderful walkaround, and I'm so glad you decided to pick this individual for your collection, he doesn't disappoint. He (hopefully) is the last Giant Anteater my shelves allow as I have a family, and my shelves barely have enough room to fit all four

I see your Papo anteater has a much darker face than mine, and that is the first variation I have come across in that figure.

P.S. May I do a walkaround on their new vulture, if you do not mind of course, if you don't it'll be my first ever walkaround

First an aardvark, now a giant anteater!
This model is the oposite of what Scheich uses to do, it is not chubby at all, actually it seems to be based in a not very furry creature and somewhat delicate, the neck is particularly thin. I've found this picture, I don't know if it is a juvenile, likely it is.
I like the figure, I have other favorites but I am so happy Schleich decided to give new life to the most exciting creature of the world, at least for me.
Thanks for your excellent walk around, I hope to have the chance of being back to my more or less normal life to get this model.

Truly an excellent model, even stands out as a modern Schleich! I was surprised by the size as I am so familiar with the old model but I never let that sway me. Great walkaround!

Oh yes, the left front leg of the real Anteater , from the first photo , is exactly like the head of a Panda
Roger is in heaven and I was shure about that, when I saw the title of this topic
I also was in heaven when 2019 in Munich zoo, together with Yvette, I saw a real giant anteater for the first time. I was staring at it for over 15 min ... it was very close, just one glass between us. I really like this animals too

But , this time it didn`t make want to buy this model....just because... I already bought it !
I think it is a very nice model, mostly a nicely sculpted...because I am not a big fan of the colors and how it`s painted.
But definitely a nice model by Schleich .
And I really like your group photos :) It makes me very happy to realize , that I also have all of these models in my collection. One year ago, I had just the Papo one ...

Yes, yes !! Randers is a good place !!! They have a rain forest, even if it is a small one

I like this anteater, I think it's a very good model. But the absolute achievement for Schleich, is that they found a way to put a smile to an anteater!
I mean, hats off to them! They are very loyal to their marketing strategy, so either I like it or not (NOT), respect!    

Susanne, whenever you find the time, it would be nice to see him next to the Schleich Jaguars...

Here is a fantastic video where we can see how a jaguar compares with a giant anteater.
I hope we all are aware how strong and powerful are jaguars, I don't like to mention it but they can even easily kill crocodiles. If you enjoy wildlife, really check this video and tell me if giant anteaters are not the most wonderful creature....
