So far some members on the DTF have managed to see some preview catalogs from Safari ltd., but the company asked them to keep everything secret! silent

Only 2 figurines have been announced(some more than the others Razz ):
Carnegie Brachiosaurus and Concavenator

For the Wild Safari line, we are very likely to see a resculpted Ceratosaurus! I love you

Safari will post an official preview on their Facebook page next month! Very Happy

...I especially like sauropodas! They are grandiose! Laughing Laughing Wink

Here is some text of Dan,,from Dan's dinosaurs

Shops that have Safari in stock, they have a preview folder from Safari

this is what he wrote,,esspecialy about dino's and mammals(prehistoric)

I won't be revealing any specifics from the catalog without Safari's permission. Bearing in mind this was only a preview and not the entire lineup, I saw one new Toob that would be of interest, as well as four new additions to the Wild Safari Prehistoric and Dinosaur Line. They all look fantastic.

so it could be 4 new dino's,,our 1 new mammal and 3 new dino's
our totaly NO mammal(pitty)
whe have to wait ,,a couplle weeks to see what safari brings

And ofcourse in Safari's Facebook,,you can see the new models of figures NEXT month
when i don't know,,but sometime next month

What i do know is that there wil be a new Brachiosaurus from Safari scale1/40

and some words of Dan the dinosaurman

Actually, I do have some news I can reveal on that, since Safari posted it right on their Facebook page. More flora is coming in 2013.

That's a downer! Well I gave them suggestions earlier this month on the MBA collection and telling them its dying (as replicas are retiring like the sperm whale adult), I told them to add a Blue Whale (man that would be huge) and a megamouth shark. At least I'm going to look foward to the new Carnegie additions and the new sea critters!

And doesn anyone has any information about which models are going to be retired next year? Even a hint anyone? I'm interested in horses, wildlife and sealife.
I'd love to know which models to order by the end of this year Razz

In looking at pics of the Mojo Sabre Tooth(And some of their other big cats), personally I don't care for the texture/paint job). So respectfully, I can't agree with having Mojo make more prehistoric mammals.

You're right. Time ago I talk to James from Mojo, and at least one new prehistoric mammal will arrive next year!

I'm not sure Mojo will bid in prehistoric mammals but I must agree than the smilodon and mammooth are really nice! When we have prehistoric figures we want them accurate as those from museum lines, not artistic representations showing a completly wrong but spectacular figure as it happens with Papo! Ok, they are beautiful but not educational, more related to fantasy lines than museum lines!

Roger, we all know that all figures/figurines are "artistic representations". Are they supposed to be educational? Maybe somewhat educational... Because if so, all the lines have figures/figurines that are inaccurate for the most part then. I'm mean Schleich put's their "cute spin" on their figures, and that's not educational or realistic.
So the body position of the Mojo sabre tooth is fine, all I said was I just don't like the fur texture/paint job.
If they had made the fur of the sabre tooth more like like the style of the Papo lioness, tigers etc. in my opinion, would look better.
I really haven't looked at enough museum sabre tooth cat or woolley mammoth skeletons to know that the figures should look like.
*The only thing I really don't like about the Papo sabre tooth is could have had a little more thickness to it (Little to thin "under fed" looking to me).
My favorite mammoth is the Safari Carnegie adult(bull)mammoth.
