Gosh, - it seems that I can be away for two days , I almost missed these last two entries

Wonderful pictures  

Christope, that little, humble Zebra finch put a big smile on my face.
They are supposed to breed very easily in captivity, but I had a pair for many years in my aviary, and never a chick, even if they were cared for like royalty  
But I got a good idea why, when an expert told me that they were both female

You made my day susanne, at least my evening. Zebra finches male and female have a differnt coat

Yes, they do Males are much, much more colourful, - and make a different sound

A few pics that i found on my camera from the Hurghada Grand Aquarium. It is not really very nice there and for the animals also not good. And very expensive for this small zoo. On this day the batterys of my camera was too low.

Kiki i believe it was a nile monitor

Susanne, they are horrible! One of the local golf courses has some, and it's really annoying when you're trying to play and they won't shut up.

I visited in Bangkok a very interesting zoo. Much better as awaited with a point of view of local animals. It was the Dusit zoo of Bangkok

I believe it was a Sumatran serow :)
