CollectA 2012 Line-up Announcement: Wildlife, Sea, Woodlands, Prehistoric etc

Dear all

I have been in contact with CollectA over the last last year asking them to consider making a number of different species that are different to the usual ones we always seem to get. They have taken many of the suggestions on board and also monitor our forum from time to time.

So now I have received the full list of 2012 models which CollectA are happy for me to release. I am very excited and hope many of you will be too. I only have a list. I will hopefully receive photos in a week or so. I have seen many of the prototype photos and all I can say is that they have seriously upped their game in terms of quality. Some of the new wild animals coming out are unavailable anywhere else. We have long desired Antelopes and now four come along at once!

I didn't collect CollectA until now but there are some items I could be very interested in:

- capibara babies (lets see if the capibara is better than the Safari one)
- beluga whale
- walrus and walrus calf (I didn't see yet a good figure for a walrus)
- european Lynx (the linx is a really hard making figure)
- striped Hyena
- okapi Calf (better than bullyland one maybe? - please we want a smaller head )
- red River Hog (cool!)
- waterbuck
- black Wildebeest (specially interested on this one, of course )
- giant Eland
- giant Sable Antelope
- Megacerops YES!!!!
- neanderthal people

First of all thanks for posting Numaan! This is a really incredible and exciting list! It is really good.
With Mojo and CollectA presenting such nice figures I don't know what to say about the toyish 2012 Schleich releases! It is nice that some brands are listening to us and I'm sure that CollectA also did it. Many of these figures are really wanted for STS members. The stripped hyena, the red panda, okapis, new giraffes, the antelopes, an european lynx, everything is fantastic and I hope CollectA continues its way towards the realism and not tempted to a easier toyish way as we see in older brands! I always said that CollectA was a very promising brand and I'm sure many of these figures will be a must to collectors!
As you know the sable antelope is not a surprise for me but the red river hog was completly unexpected.
I'm glad it is also a giant, the Mojo contest was followed allover the world!
I'm very happy and eager to see the pictures! Thanks! :)

what an exciting list of new animals!
but no new sheep. i was really hoping they would replace their sheep, as they are not very good. calf heads with pig noses. well, maybe next year! :)

It is still missing Papo! Which local shops do you have in Serbia?

Well, our CollectArator is Numaan but seeing the poses it will be surely repaintings of the lions, what is logical because the 2nd generation is relatively new and nice!
They are replacing a fantastic giraffe. It would mean that the new will be better!
But I agree with you, Mojo already is making a revolution in my collection and now CollectA! I'm really scared but happy!
