Thanks guys. I just think its funny that the new beaver from Schleich is so much smaller than their first one. I still like the first one better, but the 2013 figure is a pretty good beaver model by my standards.

Congratulations for your new figures, Paige!
One of the points that Schleich people complains about other brands is because smaller animals are usually huge and not compatible with Schleich. Naturally, after Safari and mainly Papo have released two huge beavers, Schleich replied with a much smaller one. The dangerous part is that some Schleich new generations are also not compatible with previous generations.

I can't decide between the two Schleich Beavers. They are both very appealing.

Thank you Nando, Roger and Scott. I live my two beavers, I guess I like the stylistic older version better, but I will say this new beaver is better than the photos made me think he was originally. However, I love them both (almost) equally.

Congrats Paige even small, I like the new SCHLEICH beaver, it can easily fit in a Beaver tribe !

@ Harriet, I would definitely recommend getting the Newfoundland. Its a superb model.

@ Kikimalou, about 4 months ago, I only had one beaver (the mojo) and then very quickly he has gotten a large family. He does fit in well, now all I am missing is the CollectA and Papo beavers.

Ok, I got some newbies today.
Firstly, two half grown cougar cubs I cutomized out of the AAA leopard cubs that didn't have tails, I fixed them.

Next, my mom surprised me. Today at a garage sale, my mom found a little bag of animals and bought them, then gave them to me after I got out of the ACT test today. I almost cried when I saw what was in the bag. It was the little Schleich sitting black cat. I had this model when I little, but I lost it in my sand box while I was playing with it. I have lost other figures when  I was little and have now replaced them, this was the last one. And I never thought I would ever get him so soon. Well, this certainly made my day, or rather my whole week. It is a little banged up, but probably no more than my first one was.

P.S. I know the cubs aren't prefect (I'm a little disappointed with how they're faced turned out) but I will try to fix them when I have more patience, so stand by.

these are great, Paige. i replaced many of my lost figures too over the years. i wish we could be friends again.
