Sure you can, it just depends on what the individual's idea of "compete" means to them. My idea of complete is to collect all the fish I possibly can. Sure it will take time, but that's alright. _________________ Emma MY SEARCHLIST EBAY STORE TRADE LIST My Instagrams: Personal Page https://www.instagram.com/olympus_593 Concorde Page https://www.instagram.com/speedbird.concorde Collectibles Page https://instagram.com/supersonic_trilobite |

| Don't worry, another one will come up. At first it can feel like the end of the world when you lose an auction, but when the next one comes up, set a limit for yourself, and if you don't win that auction, it's okay - another one will come up later on. The old chimp is not a very rare figure, so it shouldn't take so long to find another. |

| Thanks! http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=762095435 I've been on the lookout for months, every week I'd look up chimpanzee on trademe with no results. The other day I was browsing the schleich section and I honestly wasn't even looking for it!!! I simply couldn't believe it when I saw the listing! I brought it straight away even though I actually had the other two monkeys They always turn up when your not looking |

| I regret not getting into collecting a few years earlier when I was at a location where I didn't have to drive out of my way to get to stores. _________________ Laura

| Not that I could have done much, but I lost out on a lot of toys/figures when I was younger (ca. 2001) when my parents wouldn't buy them for me. The main ones I can think of are the Carnegie Collection Diplodocus & Brachiosaurus, and a lot of JP3 toys (including the two large Spinosaurus toys). Probably one of the main reasons I got into collecting was to get back some of the toys I was denied as a kid, something I've been (mostly) successful with.

So, at the end, maybe it was a good thing ? |

I suspect the vast majority of adult collectors of vintage toys of all types (including cars, dolls, trains, etc.) both now and going back decades were initially motivated by a wish to finally get hold of items they really, really, wanted, but never had when they were a kid. |

| I regret not buying the several Schleich figures whilst they were still in production. Mainly the female husky, which I always saw in stores. When I finally look to buy it, I have to import a used figure from Germany. Fortunately they're not too expensive, I just wish I had bought them at the right time. |

| I regret losing the squirrel of my set of mini forest animals, that I showed in the "What is this" section. I remember just putting a bunch of toys I no longer wanted, and maybe the squirrel landed in that bag somehow. At the time, I wasn't much into mini animal collecting, and to this day, I still regret so much having rid of it. Now that my hobby for collecting mini animals is back, my long time dream is to retrieve that squirrel! |

| Regrets... hm.... I was going to say I regretted playing with the figures in the hot tub with my son, which has left some marks on some of them... but then I remember how much fun we had with it, and all the great stories we created ( he loves to make up stories about brave children that rescue animals that have been captured and sold to a zoo or a circus!) - so then I'm thinking I don't regret it at all! |

| My regrets? Mostly pieces I didn't buy when they were available in stores. Here they are: 1- LARAMI SHARKS. That was in winter 1997, in Toys'R'Us. Didn't have enough money to buy the Whales AND the Sharks. 2- PLAYVISIONS TOADS AND SALAMANDERS. That was in 1998, in "Frimousse". I had already bought two Montereray Bay whales at 30$ each in that store where they were. The only Playvisions Amphibian I have now is the Marbled Salamander, which I bought when the store changed owner and all Playvisions were getting sold out. 3- MONTEREY BAY HUMPBACK WHALE. That was in May 1993, in the Biodôme of Montréal. I had enough money to buy it, but I got "reasonable" and bought the AAA Right Whale instead, which was a lot less expensive. I regreted my choice when, through the years, I saw more opportunities to buy the AAA Right Whale, while the Montereay Bay Humpback was not available anywhere else... No Wonder I jumped on the Monteray Bay Greay Whale and Sperm Whale in 1998 when I saw them! 4- AAA LARGE PANGOLIN. Also in 1998, in Frimousse. There were two copies. They were 30$ each and I had already bought the Monteray Bay Sperm Whale and Gray Whale...

| Gosh ! It was a shame that you missed them, - but ( fortunately) nobody can tell the future Amazing that you can remember both date and place, - you must have been very, very much in love with those models _________________ SUSANNE |
