Wonderful horses! The fjord has a good a bit darker gray shade I like that. Your TWH's looking awesome as well...The first one is my favorite! It's so good to see your work again

I think my favorite is the second TWH. Love this dark bay color with the lighter points!
May I add a hint? Not sure if you don't want to paint the horse shoes. If you want to but it's not easy painting them accurate (I know this kind of  trouble) you could use a silver marker similar to this: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Thanks for the link too - I don't like painting the shoes - I just feel it takes away from the model too much. Plus to me it just looks odd with a horse wearing shoes in a halter class I never would have thought of the marker though, thank you!

And I am sorry, I wasn't thinking about halter classes... Just saw the indications of horse shoes on those hoofes. If I am painting horse shoes I am using such a marker, it works pretty good. I seal it afterwards with some matt coat.

No worries! I just have an obsession with halter classes so that's all I think about Really the shoes shouldn't be discounted at all, but some judges can be weird

Finally completed these two and I'm hoping to finish another one today

This was the Safari grey arab with the yellow rose blanket. I cut the blanket off and filled in the holes, also cut off the tail and replaced it with the tail from the Safari "American Paint."

I've missed so many of your new horses again. You've been productive! The barb and dark walker are looking particularly yummy, and the splash too! Now I want a seal bay tobiano of my own.. Mustn't.. start.. new.. projectsss...

Safari ltd. has such nice horses. You don't always realise that until you see them repainted with a much better paint job.
The heads on both horses turned out great.
And I really like the colour of the Barb.

I try my best For a long while I didn't do anything after the x-acto knife slipped and went right into my hand. Now I'm finishing up the horse that caused that. I want to be done with the darn thing!

Thank you! I like working on Safaris the best I think. I like the scale the most but the level of detail on the Safari models. The poor OF paintjobs disguise all of that!

I'm glad you like the Barb, I found the reference for him online somewhere and printed it out, but had no idea what horse to use it on. A friend send me a whole box full of Safaris and I decided that one would look best in that color. The pinto just wasn't cutting it.
