I was able to alter the tail somewhat. It worked much better when I attached it to a piece of wood and kept it in the boiling water a bit longer, as Emilia so kindly suggested!

Hmm...me either! Thank you, Jonas! Well, there's plenty of room for improvement, but they're not monstrosities as I had feared.
I've admired all the beautiful customs since joining this forum, but never thought of doing my own repaints. No. No. It was out of the question.
Then, this swap came along! It sounded too exciting to miss out on. It's good to try new things now and then.
I encourage everyone to give it a try next time.   I'm really happy I participated! The only problem is that now I am prone to buying figures specifically to repaint them. Um...it's a whole new world.

I Haven't been getting updates from this thread

I have missed out on a lot

I have a bit of a problem here. I have two members who have flaked out and never sent in their models. I have tried contacting these people for months now, and have received responses of it has been sent or it is being worked on, and these two models have still not arrived. I am very depressed that this has happened on STS, I did not expect that here. However, something needs to be done and I am working that out now.

I need two kind volunteers willing to paint a model for the two people who still have not received theirs from the beginning. You need not have participated in this swap. However, please keep in mind that you will not be receiving a model in return, this is completely voluntary to help out a fellow STS member. If you are willing please PM me as soon as possible.

I need one more person!

LeeAnn, you did a fantastic work organizing this swap. Obviously, you can't control everythin and prevent that some less positive things happen. I think, in general, it was a very good initiative. Unfortunately I cannot paint and compensate one of these two members that haven't received a figure.
