Yes, his name  " Copito de Nieve "  Snowflake,  the only albino gorilla, who knows.

One of my friends visited him at the Barcelona Zoo in 2000. He got me a commemorative figure of him on his trip!

At last, Papo is doing a Tiger, it was overdue ! Wow-I'm also glad to see a Giant Panda-does any other Brand has made a Giant panda yet? A White lioness,an elephant, a wolf, a seal puppie-I'm totally impressed to see all these awesome species, no other Brand has ever made!

Seriousley-Marbou and Impala are phanatstic, the pose of the Tiger is nice, but the rest is totally boring. So Collecta is, fortuantely, the only Brand what has an oustanding line in 2016.

How much money get Papo from you when you buy one marabou and one impala (in comparison with children/their parents which are looking for top-quality tigers, pandas, elephants or another common species)? I think we can be very happy that Papo released both kind of figures - the improved common species (not only) for children and some new species for hardcore species-hunters.

I am rather the species-hunter but I am sure that I am interested in new Papo tiger, kangaroo or hare as well as the two figures mentioned by you.

"Snowflake"wasn't an albino, he was a leuceuistic georilla. Albinos always have red eyes, and he had brown eyes.Unfortunately, he had no good life,becuase he had to be protected before the sunlight because of the danger of sunburn, but nevertheless, he died on skin cancer.He sired 20 young, but only six survied, fortuantely, all normal coloured.

By the way-he was the most ugly gorilla I've ever seen, I prefer"normal coloured"animal and I don't like albinos or or unnormal coolur variations like white tigers, lions,zebras, etc

I am probably jumping too far ahead, but is there anyway of determining the size of the Papo models? Particularly the impala? I know that the Papo Oryx was bigger than the other brands antelopes and did not fit in well. I am hoping the impala fits into the size of the other brands.

Hi all,

I know some of you are excited about the Papo 2016 Impala just as I am. I contacted my US distributor of Papo to ask for the dimensions of the model and this is what I was told:

From foot the tip of antler, it is just over 4 inches. From back part of the leg to the tip of its nose it is about 4 inches. From hip to hip it is ¾ inch.

This indicates it is a larger size compared to other brand antelopes in comparison. If you have a Mojo Sable BUll, it is the same dimensions. I guess he is not that big but impala are smaller than a sable and other larger antelopes (in real life!) . I was hoping he would be a tad smaller. Maybe three inches tall. But Papo does make some models larger in comparison to the other brands, such as their Gemsbok/Oryx.

Thanks Shawn, it was expectable, Papo designs their figures to go well with their own figures and not to go well with figures from other brands. If their kudu and oryx are large, naturally impala needed to be somewhat large too. :)
