Britians actually made at least 4 different plastic models and at least one lead figure. the last pose was done in 1979 I think, but my favorite is the pose in the photo above but was brown instead of black.

I understand your point of view about the sable, you want an artistic touch but I think it could not result natural! But is always an idea and all ideas are welcome! Thanks and who have to like the idea is Mr. Mojo and not the mojorator!!!:pirate: :)

I am sorry my friend, but this is a Roan antelope, closely related, but a different species...

I want to put my few cents to this discussion to...

I would like to have a firm standing pose for the male sable too, as he is watching his family, and protecting it...
A female could be grazing, and the youngster could be lying and resting, and so we have 3 nice poses for our winning choice.

By the way, the classic one on your picture Harriet, seems like a Hong Kong or Singapore copy to me, there are several in that time, in very different colours.

Thanks for your correction and mainly for your pictures with many figures from different periods! Very useful and fantastic suggestions, unfortunately you are some late in this discussion because your opinions are very well apreciated!
The figure is already being developed with more or less the pose you suggested for the male! I'm sure you will love it! :)

Starlux sable's nice! Just needed to be painted with flat paints instead of glossy.

Another update about the Mojo sable!
The scale: it will be a 1:20 scaled figure with 7 cm high at shoulder what represents a 1,40 m, it means a large sable! I'm sure unless Baltymorezoo will be happy with this news!

This sable will match better the Schleich figures than the new Schleich kudu, perfect for the lion, zebra, etc.
I think the Schleich kudu represents a small greater kudu, but remember that. But the answer is yes!

VSome more news about our sable!
Mr. James was in China during these days developing the mould in clay of the sable antelop, and some of of our friends are already reviewing and correcting it! At the end of May we will have new development of the figure, is not possible to share the pictures in public, anyway keep watching this topic cause I'll ask Mr. James if it is possible to show a picture of the last mould reviewing before the painting. :)
It means that our STS figure has already a visible shape!

Dear friends! Thanks for your enthusiastic comments! Is nice to know that people is still with a high level of motivation.
Also nice to help me selecting more 2 or 3 members to help reviewing one of the next stages of the figure. :)
is not possible to pick all members but the final result is due to forum members and it will please everybody. ... And i'm thinking to make a similar work with horse's series and gradually have more members in active participation.
