Kinto Favorite - Fukuisaurus - walkaround

My collecting taste is surprising me every day
It is changing ...actually it is growing so fast ...
So, 2017 and more increase for the last few months, I am more in Dino - mood

What about my new Dino model ?

It is Fukuisaurus model, made by Kazunari Araki , produced by Kinto Favorite for Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum in Japan.



The moment I saw this model, I fell in love.
I really like Ornithopoda dinos and this one is so sweet looking :)
+ it is a japanese dino ( and I like Japan) , so it is one more reason for me to like it

Ok, quick info about Fukuisaurus :
Fukuisaurus (meaning "Fukui lizard") is a genus of herbivorous dinosaur from the Early Cretaceous. It was an ornithopod which lived in what is now Japan. Fukuisaurus is a relatively small species with length at 4.5 metres and weight at four hundred kilograms.
Being a bipedal, optionally quadrupedal, animal, it was similar in general build to Iguanodon, Ouranosaurus and Altirhinus.

The Kinto model is definitely inspired for the colors, from this replica.

It is nice looking like this - like small statue , but I prefer models without base,
so it is great, that this one can stand free.

This Fukuisaurus is really beautiful and elegant, Kinto Favorite models aren't spectacular or terrific although they aren't static or academic too. Details, accuracy are excellent on these models but the most amazing is the movement of each of them: It seems so graceful and natural it brings life in each of them. having one in hands is a very addictive feeling

Your walkaround deserves greatly this charming dinosaur and the last pic made my day, I love to spread my own bad taste, especially to friends

Very complete walk around, Kosta! Lots of good pictures, descriptions, comparisons and links to Christophe's topics. I second all your words. Mainly that everything looks natural in that figure. We are clearly seeing a piece that intends to recriate what was a real animal and not something made to be impressive and terrible. Well, a hadrosaur would not also be the best choice to make the moster thing. I love the pose and the limbs are very convincent. The head is somewhat tortoise like, I guess. But it looks really nice! Thanks for showing and following Kiki's choices is always a demonstration of good taste and a nightmare for our bank account.

True , True ..and also true
Although I didn`t buy these 4 dinos at once ... I pleased my self with them one by one with the time, but
this Fukuisaurus costs me more than the other 3 together ...

Kosta, a dino-mood can be one of the best moods.  It sounds like you are gathering an impressive herd. I agree about the model, I couldn't get it out of my head, but I finally have it in a pending order so your walkaround reminds me to stay excited! It has an excellent motion-filled pose, and shows off the distinct head shape with a deep jaw. Maybe the paint could be a bit more elegant but I like the museum-inspired pattern. Those are nice choices in the last pic- I still plan to get the Styracosaurus and Ankylosaurus. Though I'm not crazy about some of the Kazunari Araki sculptures compared to the first Favorite series, those ones are great. Christophe, if your taste is bad then it must be your vision that is sharp.

Yeah, I was exactly like you ...I couldn't get it out of my head for a few months ..and then finally I couldn't wait more
And I agree about the paint job ...especially this model deserve a better one...
all Favorite plastic dinos are with very simple paint job ... you will see that also the Ankylosaurus is not painted very well,
the Styracosaurus too, but it look`s very natural to me and I like it very much :)
But the sculpture on these models is something , that I like very much, so I forgive them
