Both are marked " newcanna " Which is most of their figure are copied from major brands.. So what you guys think, are these copied too ? Some how they looks familiar the standing one is not schleich copied it has different head pose and tail .. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] They are not a copy of any known figure. Where did you find them and what other animals did you make please? Thank you I found them from local shop about 2$ each.. All I know the brand " new canna " mostly are copied figure from another brand such as Schleich, Papo, etc Yes, but in particular those 2 buffalo calf are not a copy. And they are great! I’ll hope find them! Thanks |

| Not all Newcanna we know are copied from other models, at least from other models we are aware. Looks like an African buffalo calf, no? |

Looks like an African buffalo calf, no? Roger they are two cape buffalo calves, yes! And they are not copies. I think they are the only figures that are not copies of the entire catalog of this brand.... |

| If that's the case, and they appear to be the only non-copy produced (why would they have gone to the effort to commission one single pair of original sculpts if everything else is made using another brand's existing work?), could they possible be copies from an unexpected source? Rather than sculpts known in the hobby of animal toy figures, like other items in the range which you can recognise as copies, they could be cast from something outside the toy world - china or porcelain or resin ornaments, perhaps? Some model horse moulds are definitely slightly adjusted copies of older ceramics, rather than brand new sculpts, and it wouldn't surprise me if it happened with other animals, too. |

| I have seen this fawn on many poly bags that were marketed in the 80's from China. Perhaps the original mold of the figure was from a British or Portuguese brand.
Regarding the goat, it is very likely that it belongs to the Fontanini brand. |

| Hey guys, can anyone ID this cat for me? I have no clue what brand makes it. The picture is in black and white, but the figure was made to represent a cat with heterochromia, when the eyes are different colors. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| I recently got these three from Ricardo/Striped Hyena, but we don't know the brand. Does anyone recognise them? The wild boar in the centre has CHINA written underneath, the ostrich has MADE IN CHINA. I don't know whether the left boar has some scribbles underneath that I can't decipher or whether that's just its hair and it is unmarked. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |
