| Thank you Komodo, I was not sure of the brand! they are rather easy to find here on flea-markets and very cheap. Not alone but mixed with others, they work.. :) |

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Auroch was the main big game during Mesolithic (10 000/7 000 B.P.) in the "Grands Causses" area I am origineted from. They were killed by bowmen who used arrows with very little silex flints! |

| Tar Pits Los Angeleles, about 15000 B.P. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]A thirsty bison got stuck in the thick tar layer hidden under the upper water.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Its lowings have been heard by two dire wolves.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].. but to get this prey they must approach.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].. they dangerously enter the pool.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].. and get caught in tar too.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].. their howls alert a wandering smilodon.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].. which doing the same tragic mistake.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].. will have the same awful end! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Usualy, in natural pits or abyss, far more ongulates than predators have been found but at the contrary, more predadors have been found in tar pits because the trapped animals didn't die quickly and had time to warn predators around them. More than 3600 dire wolves have been found and many smilodons in tar Pits but few grey wolves and lions. Last genetic analysis (one month ago) show that dire wolves were not wolves at all, and not directly linked with them and coyots arrived from Eurasia later. Here a beautiful draw from catalan artist and paleontologist Mauricio Anton that shows who were the masters in the prairie! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
