What an AMAZING AMAZING collection!! Particularly all your DOGS!! So many breeds and all your golden retrievers and collies! I have been through all the photos and you have so many rare Schleich dogs, it' so hard to find the older ones now because each year the prices go up and up!! How long have you collected for??

Thank you Bonnie. :) I have had Schleich and Safari and AAA figures since I was 3 years old, but I started to seriously collect in 2009 when I was about 13. So quite a looong time. Many of my rare schleich dogs I actually bought off the shelf when they were released, and have had since then. If there is anything you'd like to see better photos of just let me know! I am happy to help.

Next up, an unknown pintabian? figure. She is very glossy, and was hard to photograph outside.

You are very lucky that you could get them as they were released! The problem I have now is that those older ones are very expensive and tricky to get hold of now, but I'm getting there! It was a joy to look through your collection and thank you- so many lovely dogs! if I need any photos I know who to go to! And the horse is very nice

The Pintabian is pretty- looks like a copy of the Breyer Classic Arabian Mare, no?

And if you're able to, haunt charity shops/thrift stores, boot sales, flea markets, and eBay- people in these places often don't know or care what they have, and you may get lucky. On eBay, look for lots that are not so well photographed or identified, there may be hidden gems.

If you have any specific figures you want, try posting in the 'Search' subforum here. Somebody may have what you want, or know where to find it.

I don't sculpt myself, but I am capable of minor alterations to a figure, though I mostly do repaints.

I second what Kelly says, you would be able to find many schleich dogs in thrift types of places. Just gotta keep your eyes peeled for them! And many members here are generous and helpful with searchlists.

Yes, would agree with others here.Keep checking second hand shops,although they never seems to be as good as the ones in the USA!but you can get lucky and find some amazing models.Also car boots were a good source for me but don't know when they will come back again!Also the shop I keep an eye on here is TK Max as you can get lucky with regards to various models.

EDIT: OH! TX Max, according to Wikipedia is a department store and there is one 5 miles from my village (how didn't I know of its existence I might try it too now, depending on what figures can be sold

I don't remember the proper name, it is the mare in the Classic sized boxed Arabian family I'm thinking of, my childhood one is still at my mom's...

Here they are, a pair of twins. You can see some minor alterations for the smaller copy, but they are the same mould.

A day late but here we are. The papo dodo! I recieved this as a gift from my sister at the beginning of my serious collecting as a Christmaa gift. Now that I think on it, I got the Papo moose, this guy, and the Safari VW arctic howling wolf. At the time, it was just before or right when i started seriously collecting in 2009, I was still a Schleich die hard then, but these models helped open my eyes to possibilities. Neither my sister nor I realized what good figures she had selected from a toy shop near another sibling when we visited at the time, and I rarely get models as gifts. Now, I realize what a lucky find this was! My first dodo, and now i have safari's, AAA's, Club Earth, and the action figure one Kelly gave me recently.

Dodo, the bird whose name is derived from the Portuguese word doido. Very funny creatures, it is a pity they are extinct. Good way to start with Papo, my niece also loved her dodo when she received it.

It's nice but I am glad I was able to find the Safari one.

Yujin panda telescope goldfish!
I have gotten nearly all my goldies from Kelly (THANK YOU!) and I enjoy them all so much. Now if only toy companies would make more bettas...

I had a telescope goldie when I was a child, alongside an orange and white one (not sure of the variety). They were fun little friends to have as a kid.
